Wolf Creek Run Class A Motorcoach Resort, Pagosa Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

This is an expensive park that doesn't offer a whole lot for the extra money. There is no pool. No hot tub. The fountains were turned off. The clubhouse is locked after office hours. It's a clean, nice place to park your rig -- that's about it. Wifi works fairly well. Cable had perhaps 10-15 usable channels. If I had it to do over, I would go elsewhere and save the money. We camped at Wolf Creek Run Class A Motorcoach Resort in a Motorhome.

Riverside RV Park, Canby, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

As noted, this is a parking lot with RV sites tightly packed. We had site 103 which is a pull through so we had no issue but other sites would have been difficult if not impossible for our 45' rig. Our neighbor's awning was two inches from our side. The positives are that the staff was friendly and helpful and the park has cable and sluggish but usable wifi. They were nice enough to let us check in early. We camped at Riverside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Canyon Alpine RV Park & Campground, Boston Bar, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

There are a lot of positives about this lovely little campground on Route 1 in the Fraser Canyon. The terraced sites are well-shaded and spacious. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful and clearly are working hard to make their park even better. They provide cable, which is a plus. Most campgrounds don't. The Wifi works decently. They have full-hookups (30 amp). And the price is reasonable. If you are staying more than a day or two, Nahatlatch Provincial Park is beautiful, with a series of emerald blue lakes. It takes a bit of a drive down a gravel road to get there but it is worth it. On the other hand, the Hells Gate sky tram is overrated. We highly recommend this park. We camped at Canyon Alpine RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Wood Lake RV Park and Marina, Lake Country, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The park was not what we expected based on the reviews. It is crowded, dusty, and difficult to navigate, especially for a big rig. To use an analogy, it is like a tenement for RVs. We had no view of the lake and were on top of our neighbors on both sides. It's relatively inexpensive so I guess you get what you pay for. I would not call it big rig friendly. On the positive side, the Wifi worked better than expected. Perhaps there is 50 amp somewhere in the park but we got 30 amp. We camped at Wood Lake RV Park and Marina in a Motorhome.

Swan Lake RV Resort, Vernon, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

The pros are this is a clean well-landscaped park near to Vernon. The pool and hot tub are nice. The cons are that it was difficult to get our 45 foot rig into our site, the wifi was spotty except by the pool, and it was a bit sterile. It was mostly park models and didn't feel like an RV park. Kind of a forgettable place. We camped at Swan Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Calaway Park, Calgary, Alberta

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

This is basically a one-night campground, although you could use it as a base to see Calgary. We managed to get our 45-footer into our site with a few zigs and zags and then got it level with considerable effort since the site was not level. Neighbors were close. But no complaints. 30 amp with water but no sewer. If you are on the Trans-Canada Highway and need a place to stay for a night, this will do. We camped at Calaway Park in a Motorhome.

River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority, Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

NOTE: If you have a big rig, you cannot enter the park over the bridge but have to go around the back way. The bridge has a maximum weight of 5 tons. Call for directions. Overall a garden-variety RV park OK for a night or two. Lots of dirt and trees, which makes maneuvering a big rig challenging but not impossible. On the river which is nice. Reasonable price. We camped at River Park Campground - Wakamow Valley Authority in a Motorhome.

Bry-Mar RV Park & Campground, Brandon, Manitoba

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

A decent enough campground for a one-nighter on the Trans Canada highway. We had no problem getting a 45-foot rig in. Camp host was friendly. Only hiccup was that power went out in the middle of the night and we ended up having to use our generator. We camped at Bry-Mar RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Sault Ste. Marie KOA, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

Don't usually stay at KOAs as they are overpriced even with the favorable exchange rate. This one was nice but has no sewer, which one would expect for the price. Well run park. Nice woodsy setting. Ok for a night or two. We camped at Sault Ste. Marie KOA in a Motorhome.

Large well-run park right on Lake Huron. Our site had a view of the bridge. Full Hookups. Easy in and out for a big rig. Lots of bugs but that is inevitable in northern Michigan in June. Great sunsets. We recommend. We camped at Mackinaw Mill Creek Camping in a Motorhome.
