Spruce Lake RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

The park is very cramped. The staff is not real helpful on check in and with questions. The location is nice but this was one of the most expensive and least enjoyable stays on our recent 3 week trip. They have a group area, playground, fishing pond, small pool. Lots of amenities but none of them particularly nice. It feels a lot like an older KOA (which I am not a fan of) We camped at Spruce Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Big Pine Campground, Custer, South Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park with really great management. No pool, no clubhouse. Just a nice place to camp for a week and see all of the great sites of the Black Hills. We camped at Big Pine Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very dusty park in a windy area. Site space. Over priced. I will look elsewhere in the future. We camped at Green River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Angel Lake RV Park, Wells, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We use Angel Lake RV park as our stopover whenever we head east from Reno. It is clean and the pull-through sites are large and full hook up utilities are in a good location. Everything you need for a one night. We camped at Angel Lake RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

I was very happy with my three night stay at Oasis Las Vegas. I am usually not a fan of huge RV resorts but this place was very well run and clean. Check-in was easy. Guarded entrance. A short drive to the Strip, the location is excellent. Nice pool area and amenities. Nevada residents get a local discount of 20% for three nights. The sights are average size for a large urban park. Level and easy to pull into. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Desert Shadows RV Resort, Phoenix, Arizona

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

The wide gravel pull through sight was perfect for my need. The utilities were all located at the rear of the site which was a bit inconvenient but the site was easy to get into and level. No wifi or cable at site. Wifi in the office was really fast. I would stay here again. We camped at Desert Shadows RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Humbug Mountain State Park, Port Orford, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

As an RV park, this is a great place. As an example of the Oregon State parks, it is just OK. Our site good size and reasonably level but others around us had a pretty good slope and would be difficult to level a larger rig. The coast highway US 101 goes right by the park so lots of track noise and truck compression breaks. The park is in a great location and has access to an uncrowded beach which can only be accessed through the park. This park accepts reservations in the off season while several other Oregon State Parks in the vicinity are first come first serve. Electric and water. Dump station at park. Spotless restrooms and grounds due to the hard work of the Oregon State Park hosts and staff. We camped at Humbug Mountain State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds, Trinidad, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is the nicest park I have stayed in. A bit expensive for the limited amenities, but the location was great and the sites were good size and private with large shrubs on each side. Lots of permanent residents, but the park was very well kept and everyone was very friendly. A little tight coming in, but I had no trouble with my 35' fifth wheel. I would definitely return if in the area. We camped at Azalea Glen RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

A newer park. A clearing in the redwoods. Sites are decent size pull thrus with plastic table and fire ring. No cable. Wifi was decent but I was told it gets a bit slow when the park is full in the summer. We enjoyed the park and the location and ease of entry/exit are great. I would definitely return if traveling through this area again. We camped at Ancient Redwoods RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
