Candy Hill Campground, Winchester, Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Arrived right at 5:00 pm. Receptionist was friendly and courteous. Sewer hook up was about 15' from site. My hose would not reach, so we did not hook up. We camped at Candy Hill Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Roscoe Campsite, Roscoe, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

They've spent a lot of money upgrading amenities. New bath and showers and paved entry which is a good thing since the grade is pretty steep. No sewer hook ups along the river though, which we were led to believe we would have. Store was nice and new but was rarely attended. We spent a couple of days trying to buy a bag of ice. Finally broke down and went into town to purchase one. Overall though a pretty good stay. We camped at Roscoe Campsite in a Travel Trailer.

Standing Indian Campground, Franklin, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This camp ground is very close to my home, but we make it a point to camp there at least once a year sometimes more. It was one of our favorite campgrounds years ago when our kids were small. They enjoyed wading in the river, roller skating, and looking for rubies in the stream, and riding bikes. Our oldest first rode his bike there for the first time. My wife and I love to go back now to relive fond old memories. The store is staffed regularly and offers basic supplies you may have forgotten at home. Restrooms are always clean as are the showers. I've never seen them in need of attention. It can get cool up there even in the summer following a rain shower, especially at night. Generators are handy, no hook ups. Water is available on each loop from spigots, but is not available at the site. Great value, great scenery, and the people are usually very friendly. Can't recommend it enough. We camped at Standing Indian Campground in a Travel Trailer.
