Located 2 miles south of the town of Red Lodge on the Beartooth Highway. The drive over the top on the mountain is spectacular .....town of Red Lodge is fun....lots of shops and restaurants The owners recommended a couple of restaurants for breakfast....we went to the Cafe Regis which was excellent. She also recommended Prindy's Place so we there this morning....nothing special but good.

Osens RV Park & Campground, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We wanted to check in early and the owners were accommodating to our request. We had the site right near the check in area which has a nice grassy area in front with picnic table and tree...very nice campsite. Cable TV offered a reasonable selection of channels. Shower/bathroom facility very nice with about 8 individual rooms...very clean and modern Off I-90 far enough to eliminate highway noise but very easy on and off access. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Adjacent to Luccock Park Church Camp...we were camped at Pine Creek to attend a wedding at the church camp and it was an easy walk Beware that the drive up from the highway below is 2.8 miles on a very steep climb and the road is very very narrow. There are a few pull offs but it was a white knuckle driving experience pulling a small car behind a 34 foot class A motor home.....going back down was a little less nerve wracking This is a wonderful campground

Robinson's Whitewater River Campground, Connersville, Indiana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This place is really fun. Owners are ....he and his wife came by our site and talked for 45 minutes Friday night....they are really nice people......terrific and people are very friendly. It is primarily a seasonal campground, but they have a few spots for people traveling through like us. We loved it. They have donkeys, chickens, rabbits. Owner collects old stuff and it is all over their 40 acre property. The property is on the Whitewater River and there is a canoe/tube rental place right there. The only negative for us was no WiFi and no antenna TV reception....because most of the renters are seasonal they have satellite dishes for TV We camped at Robinson's Whitewater River Campground in a Motorhome.

D & W Lake Camping and RV Park, Champaign, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

The owners are very friendly. Nice clean park, very well tended. Good value at $30/night including tax. Some road noise from I57 but not bad. WiFi was adequate. TV antenna picked up about 8 local TV stations. Many of the campsites are in partial shade. We stayed 2 nights and did some shopping at a nearby Walmart. Large playground for kids, pet walking park and a large pond . This is a very nice RV park. We camped at D & W Lake Camping and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

I think this would be a great place to camp for a few days if you were going to take the kids to Dollywood which is just a short drive away. This is the site for the annual Dumplin Valley Blue Grass Festival. The owner told me that they have about 170 campers at the park for about a week during the 3rd week in September

Renfro Valley KOA, Mount Vernon, Kentucky

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park with shaded pull thru sites. The attendants were very nice and helpful. I am not a big fan of KOA and so not a member and therefore no discount but this park provided full hook up with cable for $43 which seemed reasonable. We camped at Renfro Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Creekwood Farm RV Park, Waynesville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful campground. It has 6 immaculate showers, dressing area, toilet rooms. They are all wood paneled and spotless. A very pretty stream flows by the length of the park.

We have been here 4 times and will continue to stop here when we are in the area. We are staying 4 nights and have a back in spot on the creek. A family of Mallard ducks lives here and they entertain us every afternoon

The only reason I do not give it a 10 rating is the wi-fi reception is poor. I have to come over to the clubhouse/ laundry to get connected. I would think they could fix this, but we have been here 3 days and the connectivity remains poor. We camped at Creekwood Farm RV Park in a Motorhome.

Beacon RV Park, Saint Joseph, Missouri

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is so tight you can hardly move. I had to unhook and back in and there was no place in the campground to hook up in the morning. The concrete pads are very old and broken up. Most of the spots are used by people who are living there full time. Many of those are men with very large trucks that make moving around the place difficult.

The woman at the desk was nice enough but I would never have gone there if I had had a choice. We camped at Beacon RV Park in a Motorhome.

Whittington Woods Campground, Whittington, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is probably the largest campground I have stayed in. It is wooded and very lovely. The young owner was very friendly.

If they had cable I would give it a 5 star rating. This is a good place to spend a night or two. We camped at Whittington Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Bean Pot Campground, Crossville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We got a nice friendly reception and found the campground to be charming. There are several pull through spots 50 feet or longer.

We have a 34 foot class A towing a small car and the site is plenty large enough. We have all the hookups, 50 amps and good cable service for the price of $28 and change including tax.

Nice quiet place off the highway. It gets its name from the restaurant in town that was opened in the 1970's of the same name. The restaurant is no longer in business.

A good find. We camped at Bean Pot Campground in a Motorhome.
