Brigham City / Perry South KOA, Brigham City, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

This is our third time staying here, and the second time under the new owners. The new owners have started to update the park, and the improvements are showing. The owners have been excellent in helping us with our problem, which is not their fault. While we were parked checking in, another in a hurry camper, struck the back of our RV. We had to extend our stay, until we could get parts from Heartland for the repairs. They found us another site we could move into for the extra week. We camped at Brigham City / Perry South KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Book ahead if possible as they fill up most nights. Easy access to Ogden and Salt Lake City. Lots of over night guests. Very distant train noise, but not a bother, and not very often. Walmart and Smiths within 5 miles.

Lake Wister State Park, Wister, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Lake Wister for 2 weeks, in our 40 ft 5th wheel. We had one of the only full hookup pull thru sites (55) in the entire park. The roads were so narrow and turns so tight, I had to back my trailer 200 feet into my pull thru site. The roads in the park were well maintained, but as I said extremely narrow. We were in the Victor area, which is a 5 mile drive from the highway, on a road that could use some work. Our site had a concrete pad, but it was just big enough for the trailer, not for the tow vehicle. The bathrooms were older, but appeared clean, but in need some updates. One more problem was checking in. The office is on the other side of the lake, and once you pull in, you have to make a hazardous turn to get back out. In my opinion the price was high for what we got. We camped at Lake Wister State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Shopping is in Poteau OK, which is a 15 minute drive. Walmart and laundry in Poteau. Wister has nothing but a gas station, and a liquor store, and Post Office.

Poche Plantation, Convent, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a no frills RV park, located right on the Mississippi River. We had a pull thru, which was long enough for our 40 ft 5th. and truck. The site was extremely close together, and our awning almost hit the rig next to us. the gravel roads needed work, and the landscaping (weeds) needed cut. The laundry had no coin machine, and there was no on site management. The entire transactions with this park were done by phone. We camped at Poche Plantation in a Fifth Wheel.

Shoreline RV Park, Eureka, California

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Let me start off saying the staff was friendly. The laundry room was in need of a cleanup, and was not cleaned the entire week we were there. It has been a wet spring, so the grass was very high, and when they did cut it, they did a half ass job. The pads are plenty long, but a little too narrow. Sewer all the way at the end of the pad. We camped at Shoreline RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hardin KOA, Hardin, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed her for several nights. The park was clean, and although old, well maintained. Our only complaint would be water pressure at 20 PSI. Some minor truck noise, and no nearby trains. We camped at Hardin KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for 4 nights in September of 2016. I have never stayed at an RV park, where we were so close to another RV. The sites are front to back, and you share a strip of weeds, with 2 picnic tables. The people next to us on one side, had to back up because there slide almost hit ours. This made for no privacy, and you didn't want to sit outside at all. This is not even good for a one night stay. I would like to mention the girl in the office was extremely nice. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
