Grand Ole RV Resort, Goodlettsville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

I don't know what a park should have to call itself a resort, but I would not use this term here ... retreat perhaps. But it is not always the facilities that make a park, it is its people and that is where this park shines. Live entertainment, helpful, friendly people. Adequate FHU sites, albeit it a bit close. I'll stay here again every time I'm in the area. The park had been flooded by a freak storm 2 days before we got there, with several feet of water that flooded several RVs, but if it weren't for the high water traces on the travel trailers that weren't able to be moved, you'd have never known it. We camped at Grand Ole RV Resort in a Motorhome.

AA Royal Motel & Campground, North Tonawanda, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

The park has two things going for it, convenient location and responsive owners. The FHU sites are adequately long, the one stall shower and toilet are kept clean, there does not seem to be a problem with long term tenants. It is close enough to many of the attractions of western New York to make it a very convenient place to stay. We camped at AA Royal Motel & Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Ride the Maid of the Mist or the Hornblower, don't waste your time or money on the zipline. Have a hotdog at Ted's, eat a beef on Weck at Swiston's, and have some wings At Duffs. Ice cream at Andersons and Paula's donuts are also on the must have list to fet the best of the area.

Robert Newlon Airpark RV Park, Huntington, West Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Needed a quick overnight place. Many long term residents, but quiet and clean. Good restaurant on site and would probably be real fun when people are jumping. We camped at Robert Newlon Airpark RV Park in a Motorhome.

Singing Hills RV Park & Campground, Cave City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed during the eclipse, so park was full and we got the overflow spot ... the barn. I loved it, although it was tight in my 40 ft. MH. I was concerned about some branches and the owner came out and trimmed the tree immediately. Very quiet and nice, although equally rustic. I'd stay there again. For value, it's a 10. But, it's not a resort and lacks entertainment facilities. Great place to set up a tent (or RV) and enjoy peace and quiet. We camped at Singing Hills RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, well maintained and clean. Very convenient to Opryland and mall. Only complaint was that as I was trying to hitch my tow at 1055, a 5 minute job, I was asked to move because inbound traffic needed to get in and it seemed that letting people arrive before check-in hours was more important in allowing a person to safely complete a check out at check-out time. That lowered the service from very good to bad. Seemed a bit steep for price, but that's probably because I did not avail myself on all that the park offers. Looked like a very nice pool. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The Segway tour in Nashville was fun and educational, as was the Grand Ole Opry show and backstage tour. The restaurant next to the park has a great catfish dinner.
