Grand Canyon Camper Village, Tusayan, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

If you want to see the Grand Canyon there is a limited number of campgrounds. This one is what I would call utilitarian. It is a place to park your rig (in a dusty, gravel lot). The utilities work fine but TV use is non existent (pack DVD movies). I would recommend doing your laundry, grocery shopping and filling up your gas tank before arriving here! All prices are high. We camped at Grand Canyon Camper Village in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Grand Canyon is filled with opportunities to take trails, do photography, take jeep and donkey rides, sight see on a plane or a helicopter. I recommend the Papilon Heli Tours to really see the National Park. There are lots of turn outs in the park to take pictures. Majestic!

OK RV Park, Holbrook, Arizona

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We were so impressed with everything here. The hosts were kind and helpful. The utilities worked perfectly with great water. We were parked alternately in deep sites so that our neighbors did not join us for dinner! We actually had two little trees to help shade us! We camped at OK RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Santa Fe KOA, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

Wow! The campground is beautiful, well maintained and all the staff is friendly and very helpful. There are minerals in the water so we double filtered for drinking and cooking. The bird feeders are kept full and the birds are a delight. The only negative is if you have Verizon service you are in a black hole. We could not even receive phone calls on Mother's Day or from our home builders office - at our site. The owner has put up a booster in front of the office that works fairly well, but it is not convenient. We camped at Santa Fe KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga, Rossville, Georgia

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Stay here often. The staff is friendly and helpful. Services are excellent. Wooded, historical area that is quite interesting.

We were surrounded with big rigs with slideouts and felt diminished by the big rigs. Our problem, and we will ask to move elsewhere next time. There was lots of rain with flooding in the roadways and into our sites. Once again, temporary problem that we have run into several times. We camped at Holiday Travel Park of Chattanooga in a Travel Trailer.

Whittington Woods Campground, Whittington, Illinois

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Office staff friendly. We were given 5 fresh eggs from the resident chickens! We were guided to our site and assisted with trailer placement. Should be a beautiful park later in the spring. Flowers are planted, raised veggie garden ready, and lots of trees. We would definitely return! We camped at Whittington Woods Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Waters Edge RV Resort (55+ park), Punta Gorda, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly, helpful residents, accommodating, widest space between between rigs we have ever had! The only downside is that there is no one in the office on weekends. Board members stepped in to cover though. Utilities are excellent. No cable but lots of channels in the air. Wifi booster helped the signal in our rig. Propane and garbage pickup at your site! Indian River RV Park, Titusville, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

We have a 27 foot Airstream on Site 25 and the owners assisted us in parking and setting up (the sewer drain was on the opposite side of our rig and they crawled under the Airstream to set it up!!!) Big rigs will not fit in this campground. The utilities are excellent (50 amp), there is wifi and no cable but the air provides many good stations. One washer and drier. This is a lovely gem that we discovered and will be staying here 3 months. So close to water, fishing, launches, beach, golf, restaurants, wildlife, parks, etc. that we never are at a loss for things to do. We camped at Indian River RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Willow Tree Resort and Campground, Longs, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

A lovely park that is kept extrememly clean, maintained by a marvelous staff. The lake and grounds are very nice. Plenty of room between sites and the length of each site is quite adequate for all types of rigs. I wish there was a cable connection to improve reception. The website was confusing concerning mailing address. We camped at Willow Tree Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A beautiful setting with mature trees on the forest side. Walking trails. Helpful, kind staff.
