Lamb's Resort and Campground, Schroeder, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Staff is great= friendly and helpful; tried to help in any way needed. We thought we reserved a 50 amp site but when we got here it was 30 amp (there are only two 50 amps in the park). Since the weather was cool we did not need our a/c so we had no problem. The site was set off by itself with woods on 3 sides. The utilities had to be run under the trailer but we had enough long hoses to make it work. Utilities worked fine. The site is level. Their office has gifts available for purchase. A short walk on their property takes you to a nice breakfast/lunch/bakery. It was lovely to be near Lake Superior. There is a 12 mile drive to do laundry in Lutsen. We camped at Lamb's Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Wisconsin Dells KOA, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Such a nice campground with happy, great staff! Wow! All hookups worked fine and perfectly level site. The laundry was wonderful. The train is close by - our dogs ears raised and then he went back to sleep! Our neighbor put out his slides and their site is on a slant. Their slide is 6 feet from our door. We camped at Wisconsin Dells KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Big Fish N Campground, Lafayette, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a gem of a campground. Years ago tractors were used to create meandering lakes among the hills and trees creating the perfect fishing and campground. The shaded sites help in hot summer days and there is also a pool on site. Catch and release in the stocked lakes require a fee which is fine because it keeps it maintained. The owners have been there 26 years and work hard to keep the grounds mowed and clean. It was a joy to see the families gathering over the Labor Day weekend. WiFi worked fairly well with Verizon Jetpack and over the air provided a couple tv stations. The only suggestion I have is that there is a huge amount of iron in the water that stained our shower and toilet. There is at least one 50 amp site although we used a 30 amp site. There is no laundry available but nice ones in town. This campground would be difficult for big rigs to navigate. Some RV sites are close together but we were on the end so it was no problem for us. There are lots of tent spaces on the lake that are really nice. A much loved campground by folks in Indiana. We camped at Big Fish N Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Allendale / West Grand Rapids KOA, Allendale, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground with full services. Unfortunately one day the power went out in the entire campground just after noon time. It took a while to locate the problem and it was a hot, humid day. We were not notified when the power came on. Most staff people have been very kind except one male was very rude and yelled at me which is unacceptable behavior toward guests. We camped at Allendale / West Grand Rapids KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Lighthouse County Park, Port Hope, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a county park where folks from Michigan gather with family and friends and enjoy being here with each other. The site is bumpy, easily leveled, and one needs waders when it rains! No TV over the air, spotty WiFi, and no laundry. Staff friendly and helpful. We camped at Lighthouse County Park in a Travel Trailer.

There is not much here. There are small community festivals and farmers markets here on the "Thumb". Mostly beautiful farmland but you do have to drive to Bad Axe for the closest Walmart. Great views of Lake Huron! Good fishing if you have a boat or Kayak.

Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island KOA, Mackinaw City, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Our site had nice trees for shade and gravel which was slightly unlevel. Campfires were abundant while there which everyone else seemed to enjoy but we could not due to allergies. Mixup with site and wanted 50amp but park was filled and we could not move. Site is roomy with plenty room for tow vehicles. Staff was wonderful, kind and helpful. The whole campground is clean. The laundry is the cleanest, newest ever! We camped at Mackinaw City / Mackinac Island KOA in a Travel Trailer.

A beautiful park in every way. Lots of trees and grass with 2 pools and a lake for play! There are tons of family activities. The site was level, wide and long! Staff was fun and helpful. 30 gallon propane tank only filled on Wednesday. Laundry is well used and tired with appliances broken. Otherwise we would give a 10! Such a lovely campground in a city! Lots of trees and excellent hosts. Have propane and excellent services. If they had cable they would have a 10. Overall Rating:

The gravel road on the way to the campground was not fun in the pouring rain. But once we arrived we found a lovely, well-maintained campground. The owners are on site and accompany each one to their site. All utilities work well. Strict rules for dogs which is fine with me. We would definitely return here if in the area. Lovely trees abound! Red Trail Campground, Medora, North Dakota

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very busy campground near the Theodore Roosevelt National Park. We stayed two nights and it rained heavily. A staff person guided us to our site and stayed until we were in our spot completely. The camp is tired and worn and there are not any pull through sites. The staff is quite busy so be patient! We cleaned up dog poop in our site because some campers do not have manners. Some huge rigs had to leave because there was no room for them here. We camped at Red Trail Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This was an overnight stay for us. Gravel roads to the campground and inside the area. WiFi was excellent. Cable was not available (3 stations over the air). Utilities were great. Staff and other campers very kind-some have been coming here for 30 years! Sites wide enough that we had a bit of privacy. New owners are working hard to upgrade the campground. Trees are planted between sites that will grow. We never saw the river. We camped at Circle The Wagons RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
