Southwoods RV Resort, Byron, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice large campground with a mix of park models, seasonals and campsites. Large treed sites where we parked; other sites had fewer or no trees. Easy access into and out of campground. Located 30 minutes from downtown Rochester in the country. Park was actually just 5 miles off of US390, so access in and out of town was quick. Easy and pleasant country drive to Niagra Falls. We camped at Southwoods RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Indian Springs Campground, North Bend, Ohio

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Small campground, sites are long but close together just off interstate. Clean, appeared well kept but mostly gravel and rock. Driveways are narrow. Nice overnight stay. There was a 'glitch' when checking in which double charged me for the stay. Owners took prompt action and refunded money via check with a few days. We camped at Indian Springs Campground in a Motorhome.

Alton RV Park, Galloway, Ohio

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Small campground just off busy road into Columbus area. Sites are small and tight. Park is clean and appears well kept. Owners are finishing utility upgrades to support power needs. Some of the longer sites could be challenging to enter pulling long trailer. Some might find the close quarters of the interior drives a challenge. We camped at Alton RV Park in a Motorhome.

Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA, Washington, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Access to park is narrow and winding once you turn off the main street in town. The primary drive inside the campground is uphill and very narrow. There were noticeable tire tracks off the edges of the pavement. Sites were close together on top of the hill; however they were long enough for my 69' length and surprisingly level. Lots of rain in the area caused our sites to be a little muddy when walking around. We camped at Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Pittsburgh Pirates are close by and can be attended easily by using the Light Rail system. We parked for $2, rode the light rail for $5 each which let us off across the street from the stadium...no big city driving or expensive parking fees to get close to the stadium.

Friendship Village Campground , Bedford, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Very large campground with a combination of facilities; park model, etc. Park models are in 1 area, campers in another. Very clean and well kept park with lots of sites. Office was very accommodating and allowed me to keep my trailer connected and use 2 back to back sites as a pull through without an extra charge (early in the season, with lots of empty sites). Entrance road looked daunting, but turned out to be easy following GPS. We camped at Friendship Village Campground in a Motorhome.

Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA, Jonestown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Close to Hershey, PA with pull through sites that would accommodate my 69' Rv/trailer length. Lots of rain in the area and grounds/roads were wet and muddy. I thought one of the 's' turns along my path out of the campground was a little tight for my length, so I had the room and opted to backout of my campsite into an open area and exit the way I entered rather than drive through. Our traveling companions have a 40' coach and tow a jeep; they were able to negotiate the 's' turn in the park without issue. We camped at Jonestown / Hershey NE KOA in a Motorhome.

Adventure Village, Brevard, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

OK park with good location. We stayed in a newer area 'on top' in the upper level. Some motorcoach drivers may not want to drive a large coach up the narrow sloped driveway to the upper area. Lower area was easy access. We camped at Adventure Village in a Motorhome.
