Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Well maintained. Big rig friendly. 50 amp service with spacious sites. Much better than most KOA. Our space was just long enough RV and car but looked like they had longer sites. Office staff was great. Wi-if worked. Thought it's a little pricey but it's a great central location. Free cable tv. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Motorhome.

Double Dice RV Park, Elko, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Easy overnight park right off interstate. Big rig friendly. We did not disconnect tow car, stuck out a little bit, but park wasn't very busy. It's mid October and cold. Didn't hear a thing outside. Sites are wide, with table. Full hook up with 50 amp service. Good cell service here. We camped at Double Dice RV Park in a Motorhome.

Salt Creek Recreation Area, Port Angeles, Washington

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We loved it there! Alot of big rig friendly spots! Incredible views. Couldn't get our satelite to work there, think we were blocked by trees but plenty of OTA channels. Water and electric only. We moved here and it was so much nicer then in town camping. Did I mention the view was great- saw an eagle in the tree and deer walking through campground. Looks like it fills up on weekends, we were there mid week without a reservation in the off season. We camped at Salt Creek Recreation Area in a Motorhome.

Bruceport County Park, South Bend, Washington

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We were in the full hook up area and no one was next to us, so a real pleasure to camp here in a Big Rig. Otherwise, it would be real close. Spaces are long but narrow. Not many big rv sites. Satelite worked, cell phones worked. Not a destination for us, just a nice quiet place to overnight. Right on rt 101. Sewer is a little far back, but for the price it's fine! Level too. We camped at Bruceport County Park in a Motorhome.

Gilgal Oasis RV Park, Sequim, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice, very small, very tight getting around. Narrow spaces Lots of rules. Great staff and they very friendly and very helpful. Not easy parking for big rigs but it can be done on the outside row. Didn't even try using wifi. Satelite and Verizon worked good. Beautiful park and well cared for, they just need a stretcher to widen everything by a few feet and it would be super. We camped at Gilgal Oasis RV Park in a Motorhome.

Maple Grove RV Resort, Everett, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

This is the smallest piece of real estate we've ever rented for our 44' Big rig. We actually sticking out a little bit on both ends. Very common around the park. The space was so tight, that the car could barely fit, had to get out of car before he pulled in. But we did fit. Very close, but no issues getting into site or around the park. Very nice office staff. Great location for visiting Seattle and the Boeing tour. Not a lot of options close to city. All paved. Couldn't get their wifi to work but Verizon was good. If you're in season you definetly need a reservation. We had difficulty finding last minute camping. We camped at Maple Grove RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lighthouse by the Bay, Blaine, Washington

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

There are mostly long term rentals but they have about a dozen or so spaces in the front for travelers like us. This is an open field, with hookups. We left RV here and drove car to Vancouver. Big rig friendly. Good satelite reception in open field. Not a pretty place but nice place to park when sightseeing in the area. Good Verizon signal. Birch Bay state park is not big rig friendly! We camped at Lighthouse by the Bay in a Motorhome.

Wenatchee River County Park, Monitor, Washington

Overall Rating:

The only reason it's not a 10 is the road and train noise. Very big rig friendly. Great location for exploring the valley. Would definetly come back here. Paved spaces with full hookups. Unfortunately our satelite would not work, guess it was the tree next to us, but we had lots of OTA channels and strong Verizon. I could never get connected to their wi-fi. We camped at Wenatchee River County Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice park with full hookups. Big rig friendly site. Never heard the trains. Excellent spacing between sites with beautiful flowers all over the park. Laundry room was clean. Didn't use the wi-fi. Satelite worked. Good Verizon service. We would come back here. We were able to pull in without a reservation mid week off season. Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, Mandan, North Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of big rig friendly sites. No satelite on ours though. Water and 50 amp power a little stretch to reach. Spaces are nice size. Some of the pull through might be a little tricky curving around a tree. Overall very nice park. Was a little bit muddy and puddles after the rain. Enjoyed our time in Bismarck (mandam). Fee included camping plus car permit. We camped at Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park in a Motorhome.

Go visit the North Dakota Heritage museum on the capital grounds. We really enjoyed and learned a lot. And it's free. Not sure young kids will like. We were surprised that we spent 4 hours there before we knew it.

Graham's Island State Park, Devils Lake, North Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great campground for big rigs. We were in Larosa with full hookups. A little out of the way but was so worth it. We had planned on going to the casino campground, but the reviews were not so good there. We were there midweek during the off season so had noproblem getting a space, although it's my understanding that this is a very popular place on the weekends., especially for fishing. We would definitely go back if we ever come this way again. Price was $30 to camp, but then they also charge you for your car. Didn't like that part. Space was very long, utilities are a little odd in that sewer is greatly separated from electric. So long stretch for one: either sewer or electric. 50 amp service. We camped at Graham's Island State Park in a Motorhome.

Pokegama Dam Campground COE, Grand Rapids, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Plenty of big rig spots. Only 19 spaces. Used the reservation system on line and it was very good! 50 amp electric. No water sewer except at dump station. Lovely setting. We were surprised to see this camp site full in mid-September. And sure enough at 11:30 pm, here comes the train, and the train whistle. We would return here, but need to make reservation. Would have been $13 to camp if we could have found our senior pass. Was going to buy another, but they were out of them. We camped at Pokegama Dam Campground COE in a Motorhome.

It's a great place to park for the night. They had a 2.99 breakfast special which we had for dinner. Big rigs can dry camp at rear of parking lot. Went inside to register, and she said there was no charge, just go where ever we wanted. Mostly 20 amp, 2-30 amp. We camped at Kewadin Casino Manistique in a Motorhome.

PJ Hoffmaster State Park, Muskegon, Michigan

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We are traveling in a big rig. I used the reservation number to book site. Site #199 is a pull through and we had no issues getting into site or out of it with our tow vehicle. Not a lot of RV's. Lots of tents. Lots of trees. No satilite but antenna picked up couple of channels. Phones worked fine. After Labor Day off-season so guess that's why we were able to get spot same day. Some of the other state parks had no availability for a big RV. 50 amp electric worked fine. No water at site - so fill up before arriving. Nice spot for couple of days. $70 for 2 nights. We camped at PJ Hoffmaster State Park in a Motorhome.

Perfect location for going to The Ford Museum. (20 minutes). Close to interstate, Cracker Barrel, and shopping. Easy back in space with our big rig.
