Ancient Redwoods RV Park, Redcrest, California

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Owners/employees of this park are all really good people. Helpful, considerate, friendly . . . The kind of folks you want running an RV Park. The gift store is really nice. Like many places in CA they've had water restrictions and had to stop watering their patches of lawn between sites, but it doesn't look bad and is still enough turf so that it's not total mud, when it rains. We've been searching for an RV park that we really like in the Humboldt Redwoods SP area that doesn't have full time renters. We've finally found it! We camped at Ancient Redwoods RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Doran Park, Bodega Bay, California

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We were camped in the Shell campground at Doran Beach Regional Park. The area is pretty even on a foggy day. The restrooms were top rate. You can walk for miles along beach at Bodega Bay or along shoreline at Bodega Harbor. It does get windy. We couldn't use our awning the entire week we were camped there. If you have a portable wind screen, this is a perfect park to bring it. Dump station is easy getting in and out. Water spigots are plentiful. Easy to fill your tank from spigots. We camped at Doran Park in a Travel Trailer.

It's an easy drive to Bodega, Occidental and other small towns in the area. It's even an easy drive to some of the bigger cities in the Santa Rosa area. Lots of places to check out in Bodega Bay. A little spot in Bodega Harbor has the best clam chowder . . .

Lassen RV Resort (Lassen Pines RV Resort), McArthur, California

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

My husband & I loved this park. The Owners and Hosts are really nice people. Helpful, friendly, courteous . . You couldn't ask for better people to run an RV Park. Sites are all large, most have some shade. This is not your typical asphalt & grass RV Park. Sites are in wooded area with gravel pads. Nights are super quiet & the nighttime sky is beautiful. Walk on the trail to see Mt Shasta from the park. It's a great spot to take pictures. We camped at Lassen RV Resort (Lassen Pines RV Resort) in a Travel Trailer.

Half Moon Bay State Beach, Half Moon Bay, California

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Electric hook-up only. Site 42 is a good level site. Someone was cutting the grass/weeds every day, so it's noisy for an hour or more (depending on how long they are mowing). Dump station is really hard to get in and out of. They need to separate the potable water from the dump site. It would make getting in and out much easier. Room for only 1 vehicle at a time. Nice walk to Princeton and Pillar Point on coastal trail. We camped at Half Moon Bay State Beach in a Travel Trailer.

Mesa Verde RV Resort, Mancos, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Ladies at the front desk were really friendly and made you feel welcome. Clean park. Quiet at night even though it's along a busy hwy. Beautiful views of mesa verde from this park, if you walk to the back of the park near the pond and turn around. We camped at Mesa Verde RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

This park is a little further away from Cortez, CO, then Mancos, but in Cortez there's a huge WalMart and other businesses for eating, shopping, service, etc. All easy to get to. This RV park is an easy drive to Mesa Verde National Park.

Wonderland RV Park, Torrey, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a clean little park. We were backed up against HWY 24, but it really quiets down at night. All the sites have a grassy area with a picnic table. We camped at Wonderland RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a huge park. We stayed in the overflow which is a pretty nice area. It's a long walk to the showers and restroom, but folks staying in the park have a similar long walk. Overflow area is water and electric (30 amp) only. Have to use dump station for black tank. We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Caught free Park Service shuttle right across the street from the park. If you walk across the street and catch the shuttle you're on before it hits all the other stops. You get a better seat!

Lots of places to shop and eat out around this park. All within walking distance.

Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly and helpful staff. This is a beautiful park. Pool is good size to cool off in with fellow camper's. A good sized club room to cool off and relax in. Bathroom's are really clean, but they're the individual type, so there just weren't enough of them for the size of the park. Not too close to your neighbor. Can walk to the river. Paved roads and concrete pads with grass and table. One of the best parks we've stayed in. Our trailer just fit in the site. We parked our truck in the overflow, which was close to our site. We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We drove to Springdale (12 miles away) and caught the free shuttle to Zion National Park. When we got into the park we rode the free shuttle provided by the Park Service. All very easy.

There's a huge WalMart in Hurricane, which is just a few miles away, if there's anything you've forgotten or need.
