Arrived after hours without a reservation, found a full hookup spot, # 99 right at front of campground. Not all spots are full hookup - most do not have sewer or 50 amp service. There is a dump station on site and it appears there is a honey wagon that makes the rounds to dump the sewer for those RV's on extended stay. Do not know if there is an additional charge for this service. We paid $ 42.40 for our stay. Office staff friendly. Short drive off the interstate to the entrance of the park where there is an appealing drive into the park. Guard gate at entrance, not being used during our stay. Campground is at the top of the hill. Campground is very heavily wooded (could/will impede satellite reception) with gravel roads. Sites vary in size throughout park, our site was just adequate in size to allow for the use of slide outs, awnings and allow for outdoor enjoyment. The campground is clean with an appealing appearance. The bathrooms/showers are dated but clean. This park qualifies as a "campground", has the feel of a state park, a great family location. Pool is under construction. About 6 miles to MIS and short drive to other retail outlets. Our stay was short, measured in hours but we would stay here again, hopefully longer next time. Verizon, Sprint and T Mobile signals adequate to make phone calls without dropping.

Interstate RV Park

Davenport, Iowa

Great overnight stop. Paid $42.00 with Good Sam discount, did not research other options in area for price & location, spur of moment decision. Close to interstate and truck stops for fuel. Roads could use work but not that bad, seen much worse. We arrived after hours without a reservation, helped our self to site 3, up front by office. Appears this section has all the transients; all units left next morning but one. Full hookups, all working. Site was somewhat narrow but adequate for our overnight. Park looks appealing and appears to have majority of fulltime/seasonal residents. Did not use or checkout any of the showers or Wi-Fi. Good Verizon connection. Our spot did have a tree that blocked satellite reception. Met staff in the morning, every one very friendly. We would consider staying here again if in area.

Bluffs Run Casino & RV Park

Council Bluffs, Iowa

RV Park at Horseshoe Casino Rate is $40.00 per night, no discounts offered. The RV Park is right on I-80 at the Iowa/Nebraska state line, highway noise not a factor. As others have stated, this is not a conventional RV Park. This is a paved parking lot with water and electric hookups around the perimeter. The sites are numbered and are narrow. There is room for slide outs but not awnings. This environment does not lend itself to outdoor living such as sitting and cooking. Passenger vehicles are parked in the parking lot, not on the camp site, however they are very close by. The electric and water pedestals are modern and easy to access, however are located on the grass about two feet behind the parking curb. Depending on your setup, extensions for both the electrical cord and water may be needed. The public washroom and shower are modern and were clean during our visit. The showers are not gender specific but are individual locked rooms off the hallway by the restrooms. Spacious and modern, it took well over a minute before the hot water was hot, then it got very hot and never ran out during my shower. There is a coin operated laundry in the same building, looked clean with several washers and driers. Check in was a challenge. The check in office is not in the casino or hotel but at the far south end of the building (to the right of the hotel) in a building marked Iowa Gaming Commission. There is a small sign on the door - RV Registration. I would first park in a site you want then walk or drive to the building to register as the parking in this section does not really lend itself to large or towed rigs. All the staff were friendly but not always knowledgeable, the few we talked to were new employees. We stayed here 2 nights. Not a bad spot for overnight parking, although a bit pricey in my opinion for services offered. Area was clean and we felt safe. We would probably stay here again despite the price for overnight. Very convenient to interstate and casino.

Rate of $70.75 per night is with Good Sam discount and $5.00 fee for extra adult. This rate is competitive with other parks in the area for full hook-ups and like accommodations. This resort pricing and this is no resort. Roads and pads are mostly dirt with a small patch of grass at each site. Sites are short, but adequate for our 35' MH. We had room to put out the awning and park our tow vehicle and still not be right on top of our neighbor. We were in site #10. Other parks in the area are much tighter. Pool was closed and hot tub is of a residential nature. There is a small playground for the kids. There is a fee to fish in their pond, however at this time it is out of fish, waiting for their delivery. The bathrooms/shower, although dated, were very clean and spacious. Locks on the entrance doors broken, no code required. Park staff friendly and will escort you to your site. After driving around and looking at some of the other parks, we found this park to be about as good as it gets for our needs. We liked the location and openness of this facility. We do not generally use the pool/hot tub, bathroom/showers or need to be entertained by park programs. We are just looking for a relatively clean, level location with full hookups and adequate room to put out our awning and patio items. With the exception of the price, this meets our needs. We will consider this park for future stays - price being the big factor.

Rate of $37.38 per night is Passport America rate plus $5.00 extra adult. This rate and below reviews was the reason we selected this park. The RV parks with full hookups in the Estes Park area are all over priced in my opinion. Our site #67 was very short for our 35' motorhome and tow car, had to park perpendicular to the MH with the car and then we were right up on the narrow road. This campground is on a hill with paved narrow roads. Site pads are gravel & dirt with a little grass. The park design is very tight and sites congested. Other reviews echo our opinion and appear accurate. Staff is very friendly and do their best to accommodate. No one else mentioned the water being discolored, a yellow color, odorless. May have been unique to our site. This is a family oriented facility. We had reservations for two nights and decided to stay a 3rd night. We were told we would need to change sites for the 3rd night. We decided to change parks, effort to move 6 spots vs 6 miles is about the same. Moved to Spruce Lake RV, closer to town and more open. Only reason we would stay here again would be because of the discount Passport America discount, good for 2 days. We found the park too congested/tight for our comfort.

Rate of $37.10 per night with Good Sam discount and extra person charge. We stayed two nights. Adding to the other below reviews, it appears (at least during our stay) they place all the transient motorhomes on a gravel area up by the front gate and office. Clean, however when you sit under your awning, you are just a few feet away from the power pedestal and sewer for the next space. I believe this park is owned by the same entity as the Texan Ranch Steakhouse, thus the free shuttle up the road to the restaurant. Restaurant is worth the look just to say you were there. They also own an outdoor music venue which is right across the street from the RV park and motorhome parking area. The band plays until midnight Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night and until 10:00 PM on Sunday night. Can easily be heard in RV. The zip line is forever putting out a high pitched noise when in use and easily heard when sitting outside. Both noises can be drowned out by the use of the TV when inside. This is a very clean and nice facility. However as we are usually in bed by 10:30 we will not be returning to this facility during times/days the music venue is scheduled to be open.

Hosts are very friendly and try hard to accommodate. This is an old KOA campground. Roads are combination dirt/gravel as are the parking pads. Sites have small patch of grass and some have picnic tables. There is a pool. Water is from a well and has very high iron content. Park is basic and has a number of seasonal residents. The night we arrived they were doing a pot luck with the park providing burgers and hot dogs. RV park is about a twenty minute drive to the west of Pueblo. Balance of previous reviews seem accurate. We DID NOT use or check out the bathrooms or Internet. Although this was just an overnight stop for us, we would/will stay here again when in area.

Date of Stay:

Rate of $36.00 with Good Sam discount. Concur with other recent reviews. This is a basic park that is beginning to show its age. Interior roads are starting to get rough. Restrooms/showers are very modern, clean and appealing. Staff very friendly. Outside road noise easily eliminated by use of RV AC/fan. We will stay here again if in area.

Date of Stay:

Rate of $27.00 is discount for cash. No other discounts given. Stayed here back in Oct 2016. Not much has changed. Very basic RV Park, very adequate for our needs. Previous posts reflect our experience. Staff very friendly and willing to please. Will continue to use this park when staying in Lubbock.

Date of Stay:

Rate of $20.40 per night reflects 2 nights at Passport America and 1 night with Good Sam discounts averaged together, full hookups. We stayed here 3 nights. We arrived after hours and one day before our reservation, we just picked a spot and they allowed us to keep it. Majority of spots are full hookup, a few are electric and water only. There is a dump station available. Previous reviews are accurate and describe our experience. We did not use park WIFI, but is available at no cost. We had strong signal for Verizon, Sprint and T-Mobile. Vintage trailer/car display and items throughout office building were interesting. Staff very friendly and accommodating. We would/will stay here again if in area.

Date of Stay:

Rate of $17.00 reflects Passport America discount. Spent one night. Excellent value for the money. Clean park, some permanent residents. Interior streets paved with gravel sights. Plenty of room. Picnic table at sites and some trees. All hookups easily accessible and work as designed. No cable or WIFI. Bathrooms and showers updated, secure and clean. Note: both water and electric are on timers and may not be long enough for shower without resetting. Office staff very friendly. Only down side is the road traffic for light sleepers. I would/will stay here again if in area.

Date of Stay:

Stayed here two nights - only park in town (area). As previous posts indicate, very simple, mixed use between mobile homes and RV's. Unusual layout, no amenities outside of full hookups. All worked well. Saw cable TV connections, did not try. Paved interior roads with crushed gravel sites. Adequate room to maneuver. Most sites had an old wooden picnic table. Office attendant very friendly as were all the people we talked to in town/area. Train blows it whistle as it passes through town. Will be a factor for light/sensitive sleepers. At $24.00 per night this is a fair/good value and I would/will stay here again if in area. Both museums and Borax mine very interesting and worth the time - all are free.

Emma Wood State Beach

Ventura, California

Date of Stay:

Stayed here one night, during off season, lots of spaces to choose from. Rate is $30.00 for one vehicle plus $10.00 for each additional vehicle. All sites are primitive - boon docking only. You enter the park/campground, pick your spot and go back to the entrance to register. Ditto previous reviews with the additional comment that the sites do vary in size and are close together. Not a lot of maneuvering room for the inexperienced. Light sleepers beware, you will hear and feel the trains go by - no big deal for me. You have the roaring ocean in front of you and tall scenic cliffs behind. We saw a good number of surfers on the water. Everybody we met was extremely friendly. If you can do primitive with a little noise this is a great spot. Found the rate high for lack of facilities but worth it for the location. We heard - but did not experience, that items left out overnight may grow legs and disappear. We did not leave anything out. I would/will stay here again if opportunity permits, hopefully for longer than one night.

Golden Shore RV Resort

Long Beach, California

Date of Stay:

This is a gated RV park right at the end of IH 710 in Long Beach. Traffic and noise minimal. The gate is always closed and locked They frequently patrol the park both day and night, and we felt very safe in the neighborhood as well as the park. The park is very clean and eye appealing. There are a few permanent/seasonal residence, their sites are very well maintained, and they do not detract from the appearance of the facility. All streets are paved, wide with grass separating each site. The pool, spa and showers are modern, spacious and clean. Both staff and patrons were friendly. The WIFI is not free. The downside to this facility is the size of the sites. Most are short and narrow and all are hard sand pads. Although they are all well-manicured, many are not level, our front wheels were about 6 - 8 inches off the ground. There is adequate spacing between RV sites but little room on your site to park a vehicle other than your RV if you are going to use your awning and sit out. All sites have a picnic table. Our last day it rained and we were in a slick sand pit. Hookups were modern and within easy reach of the RV, just a little tight for easy access between bushes and RV. We stayed 3 nights. I thought this was a little pricey at $54.00 (Good Sam discount), but then again, I feel anything over $40.00 is high. I will consider this facility again when in the area despite the above mentioned downsides.
