Mt. Pleasant / Charleston KOA, Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Very easy to navigate for a larger rig. Decent spacing and most lots were fairly level. Good size dog park. Walmart and restaurants within walking distance (bike better) and anything else needed within a few miles driving. Wifi ok. Everything maintained as it should be for a KOA. Beautiful property with a lake (large pond). Staff friendly and helpful. Would stay again if in area. We camped at Mt. Pleasant / Charleston KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice older park that is very close to shopping, if you like that sort of thing. Nothing for kids to do, pretty much geared for the older folks. Level asphalt and concrete pads, no fires allowed. Nice pool. Easy to navigate. We camped at Briarcliffe RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Frontier Campground, Waynesville, Ohio

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Well maintained older park. Owner was very helpful. Older park with hook ups all over the place and every site was different. Lots of long term workers here. Pretty quite overall with lots of shade. Verizon and AT&T pretty weak. 15 min drive to closest supplies. Pool was not in service at time of stay. We camped at Frontier Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Huntington / Fox Fire KOA, Milton, West Virginia

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Safe, clean park. Follow the directions on the website as the turn into the park would be a bit difficult with a larger rig if you are coming from the wrong way. Decent wifi, small beach at the pond. Road noise could be an issue if you like to sleep with windows open. At&t service good. Some of the smaller sites are pretty close together. We camped at Huntington / Fox Fire KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground, Akron, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Some of the staff, knowledgeable, most not so much. Lots of young folks working in the office that are not familiar with anything happening around the park. Non seasonal area not laid out very well at all. Some sites had to pull into (back in site) unless you have longer utility to run under the camper, no sewer, utilities placed very willy nilly all over the place. Funny thing, had one friendly neighbor tell her husband (my windows were open) that he better march up to my camper, knock on the door and tell me to unhook my electric from her site (glad he had his head on straight as no one likes a bossy WRONG neighbor.) Fire pits (burnt spots in the grass) all over the place with folks burning anything and everything (seen one fella burning broken up pallets, nails and all.) Gated with security cards. Many seasonals did not adhere to speed limit. Watched one of the maintenance-security guys do a Dukes of Hazard donut in the grass (in a car) to run off some folks that were walking on the beach (plowed sand) area after closing time (2 hours of light left.) Very good reason to break the speed barrier. I probably would not return to this park unless they tighten up a bit (a lot). Could be a decent park otherwise. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Lake Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Very quiet park. Owners very accommodating. Lots of well kept seasonal. Heated pool, stocked catch and release pond, playground. Security card gate. If you have a long rig, take it very slow off of the road into the park. Would return if in area again. AT&T service good. We camped at Rocky Springs Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Cape Ann Camp Site, Gloucester, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older campground that has lots of spots for the small popups or tents. If you are not comfortable driving a larger rig (20'+), stay away. The roads in are VERY tight with lots of stuff hanging out. Staff very friendly and full of information. Beautiful view when the water tide is in. 1.5 miles to beach access. If you plan on beach during weekend, leave EARLY as the parking fills fast. AT&T service OK. Not much for the kids or dog. Small camp store and Pay hot showers. Big rigs, stop at bottom, NO access beyond first curve into park. We camped at Cape Ann Camp Site in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park away from the busy life. Right beside Fort Drum, some military activity heard sometimes. Owners and staff very accommodating. Lots of activities for the kids on the weekends. Indoor pool was nice on the rainy days. Small store. AT&T service good. Very quite during the week. Not sure why this is the Watertown KOA as Watertown is a 30 min drive away. Arrowhead Marina & RV Park, Schenectady, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful park on the lake. Lots of shade. Easy to navigate inside park. Turn wide at the railroad! Trains can be heard with horns constantly. (sound machine!!!) Owners live at the park and are accommodating. Our site was a pull thru 50amp without sewer, dump station easy access. Utilities were placed correctly. AT&T service sufficient to watch TV. Shade every where. Very easy access off of 90. Good location to stop overnight. We camped at Arrowhead Marina & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

AA Royal Motel & Campground, North Tonawanda, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $62.00
Overall Rating:

Not a destination park, but good for visiting the falls. Motel is in need of some TLC. Bathrooms are outdated. Easy access off of Niagra Blvd and 15 min to the state park. Very small but easy to navigate a large rig. Sites are somewhat close but plenty of room to open slides and awning. AT&T service sufficient to watch TV. Owners live onsite and are accommodating. We camped at AA Royal Motel & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Brook N Wood Family Campground, Elizaville, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Older campground, but well maintained. Lots of activities, (ice cream meetings etc) Lots of space between sites. Owner escorted you to the site and helped back in unit. I really like their do rules instead of the typical DO NOT DO THIS. Small camp store and pool. Overall very quiet. Plenty of room for navigating our 42' 5er. Would stay again if in the area. Verizon and AT&T cell service. Did not use wifi. We camped at Brook N Wood Family Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Green Lakes State Park Campgrounds, Fayetteville, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The new section of the park just open late last year. Plenty of room to get the larger units into. Some of the spots will require leveling, but I have seen much worse. Very clean restrooms and a very beautiful park in general. Will definitely stay here again if in the area. The beach at the lake is a must see. Down in a valley. Very little at&t or verizon service. Nice park with lots of things to do for the kids. Bunnies everywhere. Weak wifi. No problems navigating 42" fifth wheel. Nice camp store with basic stuff on menu to order. Hot tubs and heated pool. Nice water fall on property. Would stay again if in area. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Pomona RV Park & Campground, Galloway, New Jersey

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

Older established park with several seasonal campers on site. All residents were quiet and kept to themselves. Owners are very accommodating and will advise about camp ground and surrounding area if needed. Stayed in a pull thru site. Had no problems maneuvering 42" 5th wheel inside park. Bathrooms behind office were always clean. Owners on property during business hours and always working on something in the park. Nice play area for our daughter and a spot to run the dog if needed. Close to Atlantic City and surrounding destinations. Right beside Air strip, but not a problem as it was not a major airport. National guard jets and military aircraft occasionally. Nothing at night that I can recall. Would stay again if in the area. We camped at Pomona RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
