University RV Park, College Station, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is not for people looking for a resort. It is a quiet park, despite being right off the highway. Most lots are on a hill but we had no issues leveling our trailer. We are full timers and the majority of the park seems to be the same. There is only one lot I would consider to be an eyesore. There is no grass in our spot, just dirt and leaves but there is plenty of shade. Each lot has its own modem, so there is no sharing of Internet. The lot rent is inclusive of electricity, cable TV, Internet, water and sewer. Laundry is available on site. There is only one restroom with shower per gender. Propane available on site. Management has been very helpful. There is a pond on site for fishing, no swimming or boats. We camped at University RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

RV Haven Park, College Station, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

First off, we are full timers and I work from home. Yes, the park Wi-Fi is the best I've seen but the Wi-Fi is shared and there is no option to get your own Wi-Fi installed. During the day when nobody is home, download speeds were at 25mbps. When there are many people in the park, the Wi-First isn't sufficient for people who work from home and sometimes I had no Internet availability. I know I can't be the only one who works from home, so that's why I am sharing this information. Also not pleased with the lots as there are no concrete pads, just aggregate asphalt for parking your rig. The lots are fairly close to one another. We were in a lot beside the trees and our entire spot was overtaken by ant hills. The ants quickly found there way inside our travel trailer, as did cockroaches. It is a quiet park. The manager is super nice. He will do his best to accommodate you. The showers/restrooms are not cleaned daily as advertised. Trash has been in the bin for a while. Some sites have picnic tables, ours did not. Most of the park has no shade. We camped at RV Haven Park in a Travel Trailer.
