About docsouce

My wife and I started camping 2 years ago. We rented a class C RV,spent the weekend in Vermont and were hooked. We bought a new 22 foot class C and have been across the US twice...so far. I just found your web site this last winter and found it to be a great help. I'm retired now and have time to add some personal opinions of the campgrounds we have visited.

Monument Valley KOA, Monument Valley, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We had back in site 49. The site was gravel and level. The restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. The staff friendly and helpful. WiFi only worked near the main office. My site was in the row closest to the road but we hardly noticed any road noise. The utilities worked as intended, the sunset, sunrise and night sky were fantastic. The owners seem to be working hard to satisfy their guests. In our case they succeeded. We camped at Monument Valley KOA in a Motorhome.

Good for a night stay, although expensive. Sites are level and close. Our site had trash scattered around it that we cleaned up. Restrooms and showers needed attention. We camped at Jellystone Park at Coyote Ranch RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground, Virgin, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is a good park in a great location. Everything worked as intended. My site was level and had some shade. The staff was Friendly. WiFi and cable good. The restroom, showers, pool and grounds were in as good a condition as could be expected with so many people using them. The staff did their best to maintain them. The park was crowded but festive. I would stay here again, just at a different time of the year. We camped at Zion River Resort RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Carlsbad KOA, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed our stay here. Our site, the restrooms, showers, pool and the campground were clean and maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only problem was the WiFi. Had to go near the office for this service. For us (coming from the East coast) this campground and it's location in the desert and away from the city was just what we wanted. We camped at Carlsbad KOA in a Motorhome.

Town & Country RV and Mobile Home Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Couldn't ask for more. We had site 2 for 4 nights. The road is asphalt and all the sites are 1/2 and 1 inch stone graded level. Strong WiFi, cable worked fine, water, electric all ok. The rest rooms/showers, laundry are spotless. The pool was always clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The park is quiet. Pleasant place to stay. The dog walk is thick grass which my dogs enjoyed. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Town & Country RV and Mobile Home Park in a Motorhome.

Frog Hollow Campground RV Park, Grenada, Mississippi

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Friendly, helpful staff. A staff member guided us right to our level site which was nicely cut grass. Water and electric were OK. However be sure to have a water pressure regulator because the pressure seems high. We had good tree shade too. We camped at Frog Hollow Campground RV Park in a Motorhome.

Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA, Durant, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Ok this park is a Casino RV park. It is not in the woods or mountains. If is however one of the cleanest, well maintained campgrounds we have stayed in. Our site was well spaced and level. The water, electric, cable and WiFi all worked as intended. The pool was large and clean. The restrooms and showers are 5 star hotel quality. The shuttle to the casino was fast and the drivers friendly. The campground staff was very helpful. This park was a refreshing break on our cross country trip. We camped at Durant / Choctaw Casino KOA in a Motorhome.

Deerlick Creek COE, Tuscaloosa, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

As usual, a great COE campground. Flat, level, large concrete site pads, with a nice separate picnic/grill area. Our site was 25 yards or so from our neighbors. Our site and the campground was spotless and well maintained. We only stayed here one night but would have enjoyed staying longer. We camped at Deerlick Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Bairdsnest Campground, Mentone, Alabama

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I stayed here based on previous reviews. We were not disapointed! It is about 6 miles easy drive from I-59. Easy to enter and plenty of room for big rigs. The sites are grass and level. Our 30 amp service was without issue and 50 amp is available through out the camp. Restrooms are spotless, WiFi good. The owners are very friendly, helpful and led us right to our site. This camp is quiet. Just what we needed after a long day on the road. We visited here in our motor home and will certainly be returning. We camped at Bairdsnest Campground in a Motorhome.

Shady Pines RV Resort (55+ park), Galloway, New Jersey

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

As mentioned this is a Passport America and Good Sam campground. A separate section is over 55 and has permanent trailers. The other section is family oriented with quite a few seasonal sites. These are very well maintained sites. The camp roads are asphalt and the red pea stone sites had a slight pitch and were plenty large enough for our 25ft Class C. The WiFi, water pressure, electric all good. Cable is available. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed here for 4 nights and will definitely will stay here on our visit next year. We camped at Shady Pines RV Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Havre RV Park, Havre, Montana

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed this park. They are affiliated with the motel next door and offer a nice indoor heated pool with a sauna and poolside bar. There are very good restaurants within walking distance which gave us a break from cooking in. Our site was more of a parallel parking site than a pull through, which was ok for our class C with no toad, be tough with any other combo though, there were back ins available. The showers and restrooms were spotless and the park is clean and neat. Very helpful and friendly employees. The rail yard is right behind the park and Route 2 is in front so it is not the quietest park. We stayed here for one night and would certainly stay here again. We camped at Havre RV Park in a Motorhome.
