We enjoyed our stay here, as we do so many times. However we ran into a situation this time not like any times before. We stayed on site 38 in the second loop. Upon completion of set up we noticed that the grill was leaning very heavily to one side and was about to fall completley off! We notified the host and later they showed up to inspect. They stated that they (the corp) has just replaced several of the grills. The host then told us we should move to another site. I felt this was unacceptable and rather rude. Other than that we had a wonderful stay. Better be on the proactive when it comes to ticks, due to the large amounts of rain this spring, they are out in full force.

We really enjoyed this campground. Absolutely beautiful. They have just finished adding some new cottages, that are beautiful. One drawback is you have to hunt for a space that has both a sewer hook up and grill too. A lot of the sites don't have grills, so if your'e heading out check carefully. Bathrooms are very well maintained. Plenty of wildlife to view while you are there. Would recommend this to anyone. Plenty of attractions in the area to see too. One of our favorite places!

Our family has stayed at this campground on several occasions in the past and really enjoyed it. This particular time we were located on site 63, near the top of the camping area. We enjoyed our stay once again. This time however we found in this area the camp sites to be very unlevel, and our particular site was without a grill. This site does provide full hookup including sewage dumping facilities as well. We also noticed that the pads which were black topped, looked to be fairly new, but already were falling apart. An email was sent to the state wildlife fisheries and parks about these challenges and had an immediate and positive response from them. We will continue to stay with these folks from time to time. We really do enjoy the beauty of this area.

We cannot brag about this park enough. We consider this to be our base camp and most of the time we are camping in this park. They have three beautiful loops, and all are exceptionally maintained. Loop three tends to get a lot of ants in the summer, so just a word of advice, place some type of ant poison down where any contact of your RV and the ground takes place. Staff is exceptionally friendly, rules are enforced, but a wonderful time is to be had by anyone staying here. Close to restaurants and shopping as well. Footnote, off loop three you can walk a trail over to a Midway Marina and eat at the Water Front Restaurant. Delicious. We love this place.
