Likely Place RV & Golf Resort, Likely, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

A very nice, positive, and unexpected surprise. We just picked it out of Woodall's and we were happy to stay in such a nice place. The setting is pretty, off the beaten path enough to be very quiet. The park was clean, well groomed. Lots of area to walk the dogs. Everything. We camped at Likely Place RV & Golf Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Collier Memorial State Park, Chiloquin, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very pretty, wooded campground. The sites are far enough apart. The ones over by the river are the best. There are great walking trails along the Williamson River. The logging museum across the way is a must do (I'm female and I even loved it). The rangers and camp hosts were very helpful. This was our second stay at this park & we would definitely stay here again. We hate it that they close on Oct 1st, we would have stayed longer if we could have. Restrooms & grounds are very clean & well kept. We camped at Collier Memorial State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

The Train Mountain Railroad museum...a little heard to find but worth looking for. 32 miles of track...amazing. And we got a free train ride around the grounds.

The bookstore in Chiloquin...they claim to have a half million books, very funky, very interesting.

ElRodeo Mexican restaurant about 7 miles south, recommended to us by the Ranger. We had a great breakfast there.

Oregon Motel 8 & RV Park, Klamath Falls, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very "down at the heels". When we asked for our AAA discount we were told this was the best rate. Buildings are shabby, everything needs cleaning and a good paint job. If it had not been late at night and dark we would have left. I don't get the Woodall's rating and it makes me skeptical of using their ratings in the future. I would never stay here again. It is overpriced and very neglected. We camped at Oregon Motel 8 & RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
