Gentile's Campground, Plymouth, Connecticut

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very dirty, the pool isn't open from viruses in water. Creepy neighbors, trashy, it's more like a very nasty trailer park. Took an hour to back into our spot! Our camper was the nicest there. Barley big enough for our camper. We would not have chosen to stay here but the rest of the campground were about closed for the year. We've seriously thought about traveling all the way back home 16 hours to take back our camper and stay in a hotel here..that's bad. Not A very nice town either. There is quite a few playgrounds here but they are very old, falling apart and very dirty. I would not recommend this campground. We camped at Gentile's Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Markham Meadows Campground, East Hampton, Connecticut

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Owner is super sweet! There is a ton of stuff to do there! There is a playground, a pool, a pond you can swim and fish in, paddle boat, game room. The spots were spacious. Defiantly would recommend! We camped at Markham Meadows Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Black Bear Campground, Florida, New York

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We are pipe fitters and stayed at this campground from march to October of 2016. This was the only campground available at the time which is why we had to stay. We payed almost $1500 a month! By far the most expensive campground we have ever stayed at. There is no playground, the first campground we've been to without a playground. They would not let you drive RC cars there because it was "disturbing" others; which is not true because it is no louder then a vehicle. We always made sure to ask if it was bothering the neighbors and they always loved watching them and didn't have a problem with them. Our children and my brother loved playing with these and for them not to allow them was ridiculous. Also they said we had very messy spots which is not true by any means. The spots are super close! We have a 40 foot fifth wheel and our slide out almost touched the next camper beside us. I would not recommend this campground. We camped at Black Bear Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Nothing really to do there put the pool. I wouldn't recommend. They complain over the littlest of things ; our trucks were too loud and whatever else they complained about.
