Wells Fargo RV Park, Tombstone, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Located in the center of Tombstone with easy access to all the downtown Tombstone sites. All gravel and sites are very very close with some full timers that have some fairly old RV's. Wifi is lousy if you can ever get it to work. If you want the convenience to the local attractions it is great, I would stay again but only if I am staying for one or possibly two nights. We camped at Wells Fargo RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Impressed with many of the stores and their prices. I didn't feel like they were trying to gouge the tourist. Some stores that were high but most were very reasonable. We bought a two pairs of boots and jeans at the Bronco Trading Company. They were very nice and even had a sale we took advantaged of. For the ladies they may want to check out the Shady Lady. Both are on Allen Street. We did one of the tours though most are on the high side price wise. Everyone was very nice and helpful.

Quail Ridge RV Resort , Huachuca City, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

You cannot beat the rates and the Park is right on Hwy 82 near the 90 and 82 intersection. Easy to pull into with paved roads within the park. The Manager is great. Had a great experience with every staff member I interacted with. Showers had hot water, sites are all gravel but level. Had a good experience with the wifi as well. I would highly recommend. We camped at Quail Ridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you stay at this park and want to ATV in the area check out Apache ATV Tours. The owner is very nice and does great tours. On our last day we did a long tour with him and park management let us leave the RV there until we returned without any extra charge.

EverGreen RV Park, Bristow, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is also a mobile home park and there were a few dogs running loose but they did not bother our dog or us. The clubhouse is an older mobile home but it is clean. Two of the rooms have been converted to be bathrooms with showers. They are older but clean with hot water. The wifi is very good. The manager can be hard to understand I think due to cancer of some sort but extremely nice and very helpful. We stayed one night since we were passing through and it was a very quite. We camped at EverGreen RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park for an overnight stay. Quite and good wifi. Not much in amenities. Park Manager is very nice. Also I called in while on the road and he said just come on in he would have a site for me. Didn't have to give credit card info or phone number just come on. Very easy.

Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA, Checotah, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Site was a pull through. Check in was quick, site was level and no problems setting up. Had a picnic table and full h/u. Campgrounds were clean and the bathroom facilities were extremely clean. Good hot water, just wish the shower had a little more pressure. Wifi was very good and that is important to me. They have a nice little farm zoo and a beautiful trail down to the lake. If you are planning a rally they have 3 rooms and one is very large. Staff was wonderful and willing to help you in any way they can. There were a mixture of RV's from travel trailers to class A's. I have a class C and the park works well for all. I would definitely recommend this campground. We camped at Checotah / Lake Eufala West KOA in a Motorhome.

Sanger / Denton North KOA (formerly McClain's Camp Site), Sanger, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Park is clean and staff is friendly. They have two wifi services, one is free and it is extremely slow then they offer one you have to pay $2 a day to use. Didn't use the one you paid for so can't say anything about it but I did get the feeling that the free one may be purposely slow in order to get more people to pay for the supposedly faster one. There is a small dog park in the south west part of the park. Also a pond you can fish in near the dog park. About 25 to 30% of the sites are on a concrete slab and the rest are gravel. If there is a lot a rain some will have flood issues. There is a McClain's RV store and service center adjacent to the KOA park. We camped at Sanger / Denton North KOA (formerly McClain's Camp Site) in a Motorhome.

Clarkco State Park, Quitman, Mississippi

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

I stayed in November so it wasn't very crowded which made it even more peaceful. Very woodsy, right on a very nice lake. Fishing, playground for young kids. Scattered picnic tables for use and a pavilion which can be reserved for a party. Restrooms were very clean and staff is very friendly. Definitely would recommend. We camped at Clarkco State Park in a Motorhome.

Antique Village RV Park, Simsboro, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice staff. Very woodsy and there is a pond as well. Dog friendly. Full hookups. Most RVers were there for a week or month or longer. They keep 2 spots reserved for one nighters which I was. Bathhouse has laundry facilities, a men's room, women's room and a family or handicap restroom. The bath house was clean but could use some maintenance. Gravel roads were easily maneuvered. We camped at Antique Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

River View RV Park & Resort, Vidalia, Louisiana

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful setting right on the Mississippi River. No bad spots though there is distance between the front row and the river. There is an awesome walkway that runs right along the river that probably is about a mile and a half for exercise or just to stroll and enjoy the view. Dog friendly and during business hours there is a store if you need anything for your RV. Laundry machines available 24 hours. I would definitely recommend this park. We camped at River View RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Lighthouse Resort and Marina (RV Park), Pottsboro, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice location if you want to be right on the lake. The staff I dealt with was very friendly and helpful. The road into the park and around the park is paved but the sites are gravel. Picnic tables are not in the best condition and there is one ladies and men's room with one shower near the entrance to the park across the road from the office. The restroom was clean, but very aged and if you were to use the toilet you would want to cover the seat with toilet paper. Park has a very small playground for kids, but not much else. I was there in October, so not as many boaters using the park to launch their boats, but I could see during the summer it could be a nuance. Sites have 50 and 30 amp along with water, but no sewer though the park does have a dump site. There is wifi, but you would have to pay for it; I didn't use it so can't speak to the quality of it. I would warn that there are a lot of stickers; my dog was constantly getting them in her feet and coat. You would never want to walk bare footed. We camped at Lighthouse Resort and Marina (RV Park) in a Motorhome.
