Shenandoah Valley Campground, Verona, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

This is our favorite campground to stay. We have 3 kids and this is definitely not a place to stay if you're just passing through and do not like kids. They have tons of activities on the weekends for the kids and the lower section of the campground is nice and level for riding their bikes. They have 2 large playgrounds, heated pool, hot tubs, game room. On Friday night they have karaoke at the pavilion and Saturday night they have a DJ at the pavilion. Each night they have an outdoor cooking station that fries up just about anything you'd want.

The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The camp store is very large and has just about anything you'd need. They also have a large kitchen you can order from inside or out. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

I've seen a few comments about how far the campground is from town. It's less than 2.5 miles from the interstate. In that 2.5 miles there are several gas stations, restaurants, ACE Hardware, Dollar General, Goodwill, Food Lion, McDonalds, Rite Aid, and several other specialty stores. A Wal-Mart is 5 miles down the interstate if you really need something.
