Chula Vista RV Resort, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $91.00
Overall Rating:

No dirt or gravel anywhere in this nice park. It amazes me how they spend hundreds of thousands of dollars having all paved roads, and concrete gutters, and concrete pads, and beautiful lush landscaped flowers and bushes, and yet the WiFi only works from 11pm to 7am. If you try during the day, forget it! Someone needs to invent a way for RV parks to know if someone is streaming a video for more than 5 minutes, and shut them down. The park is right on the beach of San Diego Bay. My site was barely long enough for my 41' long 5th wheel, and I had to be creative to get my truck parked in front of it, and not be in the street. I would have given this park a 9 if the WiFi was good, and maybe even a 10 if the sites were longer and a little wider. We camped at Chula Vista RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tonopah RV, Tonopah, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

It is a one night stop over park that is right off the freeway just a mile out of town, and really close to a Chevron gas station. That's about it. It is convenient for one night stays. We camped at Tonopah RV in a Fifth Wheel.

Rancho Jurupa Park, Riverside, California

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very well lit and nice wide paved roads and concrete pads, and tons of grass between RV spaces, and lots of fun wild life running around, like rabbits etc. My back in sight was more than enough for my 58 foot total length. Sight number 227. Even though this is a very nice RV park, the internet wifi was very spotty at best. It would go in and then out about every 10 minutes. Make sure and book to stay in the new section called the Cottonwood campground. The older section is all dirt and dusty and cramped and old. The new section had tons of grass between you and the next RV space. We camped at Rancho Jurupa Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakeside Casino & RV Park , Pahrump, Nevada

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great oasis type RV park built around a lake, in a town that is not so special, unless you are going to the Front Sight training facility, or the racing school nearby. We spent a week here, and it is a very nice RV resort. We camped at Lakeside Casino & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The best restaurant in town is the Symphonys Restaurant at the Winery. Amazing food. If you like real good food.

Blazing Star RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

This park was like your own little oasis, with lush trees and grass every where, and large concrete pads, and paved roads thru out and a good spacing between other RV's. It was totally shady, which is a must in the hot time of summer in San Antonio. This is one of the best RV parks we have stayed at in the last 30 or so parks we have stayed at. We camped at Blazing Star RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Pontchartrain Landing, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

The RV Park was OK, but not a luxury view on the water, unless looking at an industrial complex is your thing. There was absolutely no wifi, even though we were within 100 feet of the office. We had to take our laptops in the pouring rain and go sit near the office to get wifi. The restaurant was fun on Friday and Saturday with live music but the roads getting to this place are horrible and there was barely enough room to park our truck next to our 5th wheel. This park is OK, but not an 8 or above rated park. That is why I gave it a 6. We camped at Pontchartrain Landing in a Fifth Wheel.

The Palms River Resort, Needles, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

No wifi, 100+ degrees out, water main was broke when we arrived, and had been out for 3 days, mosquitos everywhere, only red rock and no grass, and the 5th wheel next to us, left their TV on all night loud, so we could hear it. We camped at The Palms River Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Casa De Fruta RV Orchard Resort, Hollister, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Very open and spacious with lots of shade trees, but all sites are on asphalt, like a huge parking lot, but spread out. There are numerous amenities to search out for at this park, so it can be considered a destination RV park. We camped at Casa De Fruta RV Orchard Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ocean Mesa Campground at El Capitan, Santa Barbara, California

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $115.00
Overall Rating:

This park has potential, but I feel it has been lacking of late. There is no grass or no decorative rock, so you have dirt surrounding your cement pads. We also had a strong sewer smell we had to deal with ever time we went outside our 5th wheel, probably from their septic tanks overflowing? we also had ants every where, and the wifi was about a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being good. The biggest WTH was the $115/ night fee??? We camped at Ocean Mesa Campground at El Capitan in a Fifth Wheel.

If you are going to stay here, ask for a site up close to the office, to avoid the sewer smell, and get better wifi coverage.
