Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term), Chesterland, Ohio

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We used this park as a stop over from Alabama to Ontario. We stayed two nights. It is off the main interstate highway, but well worth the extra drive. It is convenient to downtown Cleveland. The sites are part of a modular adult community which was well maintained. We were able to walk our dog throughout the community and felt welcomed by the residents. We camped at Maywood Community (55+ primarily long term) in a Travel Trailer.

Cove Lake State Park, Caryville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We had booked four nights through their reservation system. We pulled in late and could barely fit our 30' trailer on the site. The picnic table and fire pit were at the back of the trailer and we could not open our awning or put out chairs in the front as there was a slope 2' in front of the trailer. We camped at Cove Lake State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Although we had booked for four nights, the site was totally unacceptable and they had no other sites available so we left the next morning. The night attendant said the we would not get a refund, however, a credit appeared on my credit card within two days for the unused nights. A walk through the park showed lots of nicer sites, and the web pages should have stated that this site had some limitations.

Whispering Hills RV Park, Georgetown, Kentucky

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night and asked for a pull thru site so we did not have to unhook. Site was level and long enough for our 30' trailer and truck. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Large open area for our dog to run. Wifi was slow around dinner time, but picked up later. Other sites were larger and we would definitely return to visit the area in the future.

Fairly easy to get to from the highway, a little further than we like for an overnight stopover, but glad we stopped with lots of open areas. We camped at Whispering Hills RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
