Eagles Landing RV Park, Holt, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We spent three winters here so we have seen several improvements. Several people have commented on the charge for the Internet. It is a fast reliable internet connection, the best I have seen in a park, so I always thought it was worth the charge to skype our families and watch the occasional Netflix. It is a very popular park so you do need to make reservations early in the day for an overnight stay. Although they have mostly seasonal and long term guests I know they always left spaces open for the convenience of the overnight traveler and welcomed them. Friendly owners and well kept park. We camped at Eagles Landing RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The closest town of any size is Crestview, and like feeding gremlins after midnight, the streets of Crestview turn into monsters between 4pm and 7pm.

Albany / Corvallis KOA, Albany, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in March 2016 and I assure you the drought is over. It rained all month and we almost floated away. They had to bring in gravel and we still had to put pallets down to walk on to get to our vehicle. The water was standing all around our RV. We finally moved to a 30amp spot to get out of the water and the incessant street noise. All the 50amps sites are next to the noisy road. We have stayed here many times as we have relatives in the area. Not many parks to choose from so they are all way over priced. Their bushes and trees really need to be trimmed; we have complained about them several times. We camped at Albany / Corvallis KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain View RV Park, Wellington, Utah

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

What the previous reviewer said is accurate this a "tired old park" and it only has 30 amp power but we stay here every time we are passing thru. Easy in, easy out and a place to eat, what more do you want for a quick overnight stop. There is some road noise. We camped at Mountain View RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Snake River RV Resort, Homedale, Idaho

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay for a weekend, but the industry that a abuts the park runs until 3am during the week and the constant droning of the machinery and beep beep of the forklifts drove me crazy. The constant lawn mowing, sprinklers running and leaf blowers only added to the discomfort. As I said, a great place for a weekend but to be tolerated during the week. And I have not mentioned the gnats that even closed doors and windows can not keep out. We are still getting rid of the Japanese bean beetle ( looks like orange lady bugs) infestation. It's set up great for groups to get together, just know what you will be experiencing. We camped at Snake River RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Lovely, clean park with roomy spots available would like to stay longer but thought pricey for overnight. Large variety of parking spaces, be sure what size you reserve for long term. We camped at Elephant Butte Lake RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Mission RV Park, El Paso, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Next to several freeway interchanges so can be noisy. I am a light sleeper so the freeway being detoured at night was a blessing. It is a clean well kept park the pull-thrus were spacious and easy to enter and exit but I did not like parking on sandy dirt. If you follow the instructions given when you make your reservations it will not be hard to find. Use exit 35. We camped at Mission RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The road paralleling the border, it has several names, 375 is one, is a much less congested road even during rush hour. It will take you right to Old Town, and the University.
