Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort, Hardeeville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Came in on the Monday before the hurricane. Had to evacuate on Wednesday. No problem or hassle getting a refund because of early departure. Staff was extremely cooperative and helpful. This park has an excellent layout and is big rig friendly. Booked there again for a week in January and two weeks in March. Hopefully no Nor'Easters coming through (New England winter version of a hurricane). We camped at Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground), St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Reserved here for two weeks (02/16) under the previous ownership. They only left a handwritten note for the new owners that I was going to be camping there. No problem at all for the new owners. Staff was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay. We are booked here again for a split week in February 2017. While we were there on our first trip we were able to watch many of the improvements being done. We are looking forward to our return trip and eager to see the further improvements. This campground is very convenient to I-95 and is very accommodating to short stay travelers heading up and down the coast. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If you are planning an overnight stop, definitely change your stay to two or three days and take advantage of all that St. Augustine has to offer. If you don't feel like driving into town, the trolley stops at the office and will get you there and back.
