Davidson River Campground, USFS, Brevard, North Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This was my first time in this campground. I booked to stay for a weekend and participate in PMBAR mountain bike race. The location it is the best! for any person interested in this event "just crossing the street". The staff was very good. I need to made the following observations: You need to set your calendar to schedule with enough time (6 months) ahead to catch one of the limited spots available for booking. If not, you will be in the "First in-set" system that doesn't warranty a space until you arrive, and they see if there is still an available spot. I booked in the first loop, very convenient for my race participation. After un-plugging, aligning and disconnecting our RV from the hitch, I notice NO WATER faucet in the site. Fill in your potable water tank as soon pass the check-in station. This place is close (5-10 minutes driving) to multiple bike shops, food places and grocery stores . Very quiet and enjoyable environment. We camped at Davidson River Campground, USFS in a Fifth Wheel.

Cross Winds Family Campground, Linwood, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed for 3 nights in Oct 2016. I was with my family, brother family and co-worker friend family and we enjoyed the stay. Park it is a little dark for walking at night, but is safe. Full hook-up and the trash is picked up daily at each campsite. Campground is very clean and well maintained.

My brother had some difficulties to level his fifth wheel due to site surface inclination. If you have a long trailer we suggest to use the B-2 site. But in general it is an amazing campground!

Wonderful place to camp. Staff "owners" was very friendly, helpful and share our passion for airplanes. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. Thumbs up. We camped at Cross Winds Family Campground in a Travel Trailer.
