Wisconsin Riverside Resort, Spring Green, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Most sites are back-in on grass sites that are fairly level. Picnic table and fire ring included. FHU's with 20/30/50 amp service. Mature trees only around the perimeter of the campground, so interior sites are open to the sun all day. Restaurant on site, but we didn't eat there. Sites are very close to each other. The drive is paved and the kids love to bike, skate, rollerblade on it so be care when driving. We experienced no noise from the camper as they all seemed to respect others camping next to them. We camped at Wisconsin Riverside Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The only thing we wanted to see was The House on the Rocks (it was a four hour visit for us) and the Frank Llyod Wright Center. Nice town and it had the conveniences we needed.

Sherwood Forest Camping & RV Park, Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Lots of mature trees at different locations, but we were in the sun. Gravel on site on ground that is level to begin with. Table and fire ring. For our RV with a trailer to tow, the FHU's were designed for trailers/ 5th wheels, so I had to use extensions to use the FHU's, but that was not a problem for me. Wife's complaint was, for the price we paid, and we didn't use all the amenities. At least they could have had cable available since TV reception was not available (They even said on their brochure at check-in that TV was a "maybe available" for 4 channels.) Convenient to everything in the Dells and easy to get in and out. Only one problem we noticed and that is the fact that there is a railroad track somewhere nearby. Would we stay here again? For the price we paid and the non-use of amenities available, I doubt it. We camped at Sherwood Forest Camping & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Paul Bunyon Cook Shack is a must eat at place. Stay away from The Dock Bar and Grill as it is very expensive and service was terrible the day we went there. Old Duck Tours and the Dells, upper and lower, are a must. Go to Tommy Bartletts water show for the evening performance.
