Eagle RV Park, Thermopolis, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly and caring. No vacancies. Then, I got a call back; they had been able to move reservations around to also fit us in. Very busy park in June. It was very convenient getting propane prior to leaving the park. We camped at Eagle RV Park in a Motorhome.

Definitely check out the state park. Most people come for the hot spring pools. Neat little town which we enjoyed exploring. The dinosaur museum is excellent.

Blue Cut RV Park, Helper, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older park along the Price River. No pavement but the spots were large enough. The manager was helpful, friendly, and very upbeat. We started for one night and stayed for 3. Could have spent a week in this little park. I gave it an 8 because of no amenities. It does have a laundry. We camped at Blue Cut RV Park in a Motorhome.

Lots around here. Spend the day in Helper with all the coal mining history. We did lots of geocaching here. 9 mile canyon definitely worth the drive. The museums are very nice. Walmart in Price, which is very close. Ate lunch at the Balancing Rock Cafe in Helper. Awesome sandwiches.

Fossil Valley RV Park, Vernal, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

No one in office. Self serve. We had a reservation and the sign said to just pick a site. If you don't have a reservation you self register. The sites are very shady. Enjoyed watching a 45 footer move from site to site until his roof top satellite found service. Nice grassy spots with plenty of shade. Part of the park seems to have permanents. Would stay here again. We camped at Fossil Valley RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground, Lander, Wyoming

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, well maintained. Several view sites overlooking the valley, but those spots are pricier - $48. The view looks out over a warehouse, so thought that was too much to pay. Found it a little pricey for our spot at $40, but apparently that is the rate these days. Nice lawn area by sites, so enjoyed sitting out and having our glass of wine. Quiet up here on the hill. We would stay here again, but for more than one night. We camped at Sleeping Bear RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lake Owyhee State Park, Nyssa, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Could be nice when, and if, the water level ever gets higher. Lake at 22% of capacity. Flies made sitting out untenable. Maybe earlier in the year would be better. The road getting in was an adventure for our 35 ft motor home. Very narrow, curvy and full of blind turns. Surrounding area is quite beautiful and rugged. Given all that, would definitely return. We camped at Lake Owyhee State Park in a Motorhome.

Rock Creek RV Park, Twin Falls, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Came for 1 night; stayed for 5. Camphost very helpful. Park is serene and quite lovely. Walking/bike trail out of the park. Close enough to everything we needed. No dump, but only a mile away. Quiet and lovely surroundings. Verizon worked fine down in this canyon. This will be our go-to place when we come through Twin Falls. We camped at Rock Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Mission RV Park, El Paso, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground for a couple of nights. Spaces are very narrow, especially with slideouts. We had a view of the RV Parts & Service metal building from our front window. Freeway noise. Would stay again just as a pass through. We camped at Mission RV Park in a Motorhome.

Brantley Lake State Park, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park, close to town, shopping and attractions. Owner and family who work here are very, very nice. Free WiFi was nice, but our Verizon card worked well here. The WiFi is faster, so we used it. Lots of animals for kids to check out. Turtles, ponies, goats and chameleons. These folks try very hard and we like staying at family owned parks. Would definitely stay here again. The only drawback is that some of the permanent residents have let their rigs look tacky with stuff laying around a couple of flat tires. Makes it look bad, but ignore that. We camped at Brantley Lake State Park in a Motorhome.
