There are actually 3 campgrounds in Camp Blanding. The first and third are for self contained trailers, 5th wheels and motorhomes. The second is the only one that has bathrooms. We stayed in the 3rd one which is just a very large parking lot with concrete (very long and wide) sites. VERY easy to back into and get around. The sites on the left are sitting next to a hill. The sites on the right as you enter sit nearest the lake. All clean, all with electric, sewer, fire ring, picnic table and grill. Plenty of room to park the unit and tow vehicle. Staff very friendly, but did not know till arrival that the boat ramps are closed till February or March 2017. One draw back to this campground, if you are in the sites on the right as you enter, the walkways to the lake are on the same side. It seems that some people like to walk and even drive their ATV's through your site even under your canopy to get to the walkways. RUDE...RUDE! However, it is a nice quite place to sit back and relax as long as you take precautions with camp materials! With this being the ONLY thing wrong I give it...Two thumbs up!! We camped at James E. Johnson Memorial RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.
Not too much to do except sit back and relax! Middleburg is NE about 8 miles and Starke is west about 10 miles. Try the Sonny's BBQ in Starke, food good and staff friendly!
