We paid for a premium site with grass for our little dog to enjoy lounging on. Unfortunately the grass was very sparse and loaded with thistles. It was not what I expected at all. The site had no shade, the concrete table was at the end of the patio where we couldn't shade it with our awning, and it was immovable--so we never used it. The shaded sites were close together and very short, however, so that may have been a problem for us. I also chose this resort because it had a huge pool. We swam one day and had the pool all to ourselves. That's probably because the water was freezing! But we did enjoy the hot tub afterwards. I asked in the office about recycling and was met with a blank look and the comment that we could always take it home with us. Since we were at the start of a three week trip I really did not want to do that. I googled recycling myself and found the local, very convenient, drive-through recycling facility nearby. Site was level and clean. We camped at Oakwood RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Travelers World RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $38.00

This is probably the nicest park we've ever visited. Stayed a week and took advantage of the weekly rate. Pool is a little small for the size of the resort, but was not busy and we enjoyed it several days. Very clean, well maintained park. Our only issue was that on the other side of the fence behind our site was some kind of business that blasted their "cultural" music all day. We thought we could deal with that since we would be sightseeing or golfing most days, but it was very loud some evenings also (even when inside our rig with the windows closed). In addition, after a little rain one day the smell of dog poop from the penned dog behind the fence was overwhelming. We could not enjoy sitting outside for the rest of our stay. We reported both problems to the office but there was no resolution, although I realize neither issue was the fault of the resort. Early mornings there was quite a bit of traffic noise from "permanent" park residents headed out to work. And keeping the park nice means power washers and site maintenance equipment was operating pretty much all day. Our site was perfectly angled so our rig shaded the patio all day without use of the awning. Too bad the odor problem prevented us from enjoying it. We loved the park and would stay here again, but would request a different site. We camped at Travelers World RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Use the bus to go downtown! It was very easy and way better than trying to park our dually down there. Correct change required. We bought the 24 hour passes for a few cents more, just because it was easier to have that exact change ($5.50 for two of us). Otherwise $1.30 per person each way.

The Taqueria Guadalajara across the street had very good food, although the appearance of the restaurant might make some people think twice. We had one breakfast and one dinner there.
