Sun Resorts RV Park, Mesquite, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is easy to find right off the interstate. Check-in was quick and easy. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Interior roads are wide and easy to navigate. Sites are wide and long. Full hookups are positioned correctly and worked fine. Good Verizon cell service. Lousy WIFI. Good cable TV. Not great for dogs, but there is a city park right across the street with lots of grass. Sites are gravel and level. This is a smaller park, but it's really nice. There's a Smiths shopping center right next door. Casinos are close. This is a nice place. We've stayed here before and we'll stay here again. We camped at Sun Resorts RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was easy to find, but use the directions they supply, not your GPS. Check-in was quick and easy. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. Sites are wide and long. Full hookups were positioned correctly and worked fine. Cell service and WIFI was good. Restrooms and showers were clean. Interior roads were a bit narrow, but OK. This is a really pretty campground with lots of big trees. Plenty of room to walk the dog. This is a nice place. We've stayed here before and we'll stay here again. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Scandia RV & Mobile Park, Bend, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is easy to find right off the highway. Check-in was quick and easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Interior road are paved, but narrow. Really big trees are everywhere, but we managed to get around OK. Sites were paved, long and fairly level. Full hook-ups were well located and worked as expected. Pet areas are available. CATV worked well. Verison had 3 bars. WIFI was very good and worked well. There appears to be two sections to this park: one section for long-term residents and one for transients. The transient section is really pretty with lots of trees, grass and shade. This is a nice place. We've stayed here a few time before and we'd stay here again. We camped at Scandia RV & Mobile Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Burns RV Park, Burns, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is real easy to find right off the highway. Check-in was quick and easy. The staff were friendly and helpful. Interior roads are gravel and easy to navigate. There were very few full-time sites mostly transients. Parking was easy. Sites are gravel and pretty level. Full hookups were well located and worked as expected. CATV worked well. Verision had 3 bars. WIFI sucked and was not usable. This is a nice campground for short term stays. We'd stay here again. We camped at Burns RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Outback Montana RV Park and Campground, Bigfork, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is easy to locate right off the highway. Check in was quick and easy. Hosts were helpful and friendly. They spent extra time making sure we got a site that we fit. Interior roads are narrow with a dirt/gravel base. The roads are harder for bigger rigs to navigate, but passable. There was quite a few bigger rigs here. Lots of trees and plenty of shade. This is a beautiful campground. Full hookups worked fine. Sites are fairly level. Campground is well located to Woods Bay and Bigfork. We camped at Outback Montana RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Park is easy to find from the interstate. Check-in. Was easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Interior roads are easy to navigate. Sites are wide, spacious, and level. All utilities worked as expected. Quite a few sites are pull through with 30 amp service. Lots of back in sites too. Casino and golf course are close. We've stayed here several times and always a good experience. This place fills up quickly so reservations are recommended. We camped at Wildhorse Resort and Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Holiday Palms RV Park, Quartzsite, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was easy to find from the interstate. Check in was quick and easy. Staff members were friendly and helpful. This campground has a lot of extended stay sites mixed in with more transient sites. The extended stay site next to us was in a terrible state of disrepair. We couldn't believe someone was actually living there. All full hookups worked as expected. Cell service was good. Cable TV worked well. WIFI worked well at the office, but not at the sites. Restrooms, showers and laundry were clean. There are places to walk your dog around the campground. This wasn't an expensive place to stay, but we were really turned off by the state of disrepair of some the extended stay sites. We'll stay somewhere else until the place is cleaned up. We camped at Holiday Palms RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Palms RV Resort, Yuma, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

This campground was easy to find from the interstate. Check in was quick and easy. Senior staff at the front desk was consistently abrupt and unfriendly. Other staff members were friendly and helpful. Sites are wide and long with plenty room in between. All full hookups worked as expected. Cell service was good. Cable TV worked well. WIFI worked well at the clubhouse, but not at the sites. Restrooms, showers and laundry were clean. Great gym, good looking pools and spas. Pristine shuffleboard and bocce ball courts. Lots of concerts and activities. This campground has several dog runs and plenty of places to walk your dog. This is definitely a pet friendly place. This was our second and last stay here. This is a nice place, but there's lots of really nice campgrounds in this area for less money where you don't have to tolerate the attitude of senior staff. We camped at The Palms RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This campground was easy to find from the interstate. Check in was quick and easy. Staff was friendly and helpful. Sites are fairly wide and long with enough room in between. Mesa / Apache Junction KOA, Apache Junction, Arizona

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice campground. Easy to find and well located to shopping. Staff was friendly and helpful. Interior roads are easy to navigate. Sites are level, gravel, wide and long. Utilities are properly located and all full hookups worked. Cell reception was great, but WIFI was terrible. Restrooms, showers and laundry were very clean and all of the washers and dryers worked.

This campground is dog friendly. Not a lot of grass, but plenty of good dog walking space and a nice dog run. Not a lot of extra activities. This is a well kept campground good for shorter stays. We camped at Mesa / Apache Junction KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

River Lodge Resort, Parker Dam, California

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large old campground located on the banks of the Colorado River. The sites contain mostly RVs and some tiny houses. Many of the RV sites are occupied by snowbirds down for the winter. The interior roads are wide and easy to navigate. The RV sites were dirt/gravel, good sized, reasonably level and spaced right with good access to utilities. All full hookups worked.

Cell phone reception was terrible, but the premium WIFI worked very well for $20 a month. Restrooms, laundry, and showers were dated, but functional. Staff and campers were friendly. This is a great place for dogs. The par three golf course looked good and is very popular with the residents. We stayed here three weeks. This isn't a bad campground for the money, but there's lots of campgrounds in this area worth a look. We camped at River Lodge Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Campground was easy to locate just off the interstate and well located to shopping (right next door) and casinos. Sites are gravel, spacious and plenty long. Full hookups worked fine. WIFI worked OK. Not many extras here, but everything you need to camp. We stayed here six days in a fifth wheel. We'd stay here again. We camped at Sun Resorts RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a shopping mall with a Smith's anchor store right next door. The park across the street has plenty of grass for dog walking. Two of the three big casinos in town are just up the street.

Salt Lake City KOA, Salt Lake City, Utah

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We followed the directions posted on the KOA website to the campground rather than our Garmin and went right to the campground. This is a good looking campground. The staff was friendly and helpful. Sites are well spaced, level and long. Hookups all worked fine. Restrooms were clean. Nice dog run and plenty of room for dog walking. Night security was good. The Mexican restaurant right on site was a fun little place and the food was delicious. We'd stay here again. We camped at Salt Lake City KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
