Boyd's Key West Campground, Key West, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $130.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park and the location is great. Our site was waterfront but almost too short for our RV and tow vehicle, even though we had reminded them of our length. Tried to get them to move us to a larger site that was available but they would not even consider doing that, although specific sites are not reserved. The waterfront sites have great views. The park is laid out very well and great for walking and biking. The pool area is very nice. There is a large pavilion that is great for a large group to get together especially on a rainy day. Big drawback for our location: There were tent sites directly across the street in front of us which makes the area very congested and, at times, loud during the night. Because of the close proximity of the campsites beside of us, we had to ask our neighbor to move their vehicle so we could pull out from our site and we had to move our vehicle another day for the RV beside of us to be able to back in. It is expensive so just be aware it is LOCATION, LOCATION. We camped at Boyd's Key West Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There are a couple of really good restaurants within walking distance....Roostica (great pizza) and Delano's (yummy Cuban sandwiches). You can also catch the city bus into Key West but takes about 45 minutes to get there with all the stops along the way. Across Hwy 1, only 3-4 blocks from campground, there is a great paved walking/bike trail.

Bonita Lake RV Resort, Bonita Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed only one night. The campground is mostly permanents/snowbirds, but the campsites are large enough for those traveling thru. The residents were very friendly. The campground is very neat and laid out well. There is a large, heated pool although we did not have an opportunity to use it. It is in a good location, close to shopping centers, etc. and easily accessible. Only drawback is that the residents park their vehicles across from the campsites and we had to ask them to move the cars for us to be able to back into our site. Would recommend this campground and would stay there again. We camped at Bonita Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Low-Key Hideaway Motel and RV Resort (Adults only), Cedar Key, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very unique campground with only 3 campsites. The owner was very helpful and cordial. Beautiful sunsets and only had to walk a few steps for the beautiful views over the water. We had the middle campsite with our own little deck overlooking the water with chairs and table already set up. There was a hammock but it did not look very stable. Out on the dock there were swinging barrel chairs to relax in. And of course there is the Tiki Bar that is frequented by locals and the campers from neighboring campground. The bartender was fun and efficient. The little town of Cedar Key had plenty of restaurants and bars to choose from. Also check out the Cedar Key Museum. Only con: We were in a 35' motorhome towing a jeep and there's really not a good place to remove the tow vehicle but did manage since there was no other RVs there. Had to stop traffic to back into the site. When we left we had to find a wide place off the side of the road to hook up the jeep. Definitely recommend this little slice of heaven. We camped at Low-Key Hideaway Motel and RV Resort (Adults only) in a Motorhome.
