Timber Lake Resort, Mount Carroll, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

It is nice place when we arrived Thursday afternoon, but by Friday evening things changed. The music was too load on Saturday, could not sit out with other campers and talk in the afternoon or evening. Need to lower the volume and point the speaker into the patio, not out to the playground. Campers are willing walk through your site, appears to be no camping adequate at this location. We went to the play Friday evening, great play house and play. Came back to my coach on Friday night to have the back side unit using my space to a game of bags, right next to my fire pit and using my picnic table too. Then setup a work flood light on top of their unit to allow them to play into the night, at least they stopped at quiet hours. Came out in the morning to find empty cans on my picnic table. There was enough room on the back side of their unit to setup the game and not use my space. I would have come back to this camp ground until I saw the Saturday actives are out of hand and way to load. Way to may golf carts running around, could not walk more than 5 minute without having one run up behind us. With the load music could not even hear the golf cart or vehicle coming up behind you. If you like to party hard this is the camp for you, if you want to join the outdoors it is not a camp you would want to stay at. We camped at Timber Lake Resort in a Motorhome.
