Tips for other Campers:

If you have a big rig, follow the directions on the website. I used Google maps and it directed me through some curvy backroads. Not a problem as I have a small trailer but could see where a large 5th wheel or motor coach might have issues.

Pecan Park RV Resort, Jacksonville, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Staff was very friendly and helpful. All roads paved and sites are level. This was just an overnite stay and it fit the bill perfectly. Easy on/off from I-95. Stress free parking and hookup. Only real negative was the price and overhead flight path. Facilities are immaculate and wash room had plenty of machines which also take credit cards. We camped at Pecan Park RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Very clean and well-maintained resort. Employees are friendly and helpful. An escort to our site and help with backing in was a nice bonus. Water pressure was a bit low but sufficient. We camped at Williston Crossings RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Ocala North RV Resort, Reddick, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Overnight stay while traveling. Very clean and well-maintained park. Easy on/off access from I-75. A lot depends on the site you get. Some have plenty of room with new concrete pads. Others have crumbling and/or uneven pads. Generally, the pull through sites are the narrowest, the back in sites are wider and a bit nicer. I did not find the roads too narrow for navigating at all. There's a small bridge on the south-east corner which I would avoid using. It's OK for cars but a bit narrow and is not necessary to access any of the sites. No open fires permitted, must be in a raised and covered fire pit. Everyone we encountered were friendly and welcoming. Not much to do in the area but we liked it enough to come back and stay for a week or two during our horse show season. We camped at Ocala North RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2017 - $96.00
Overall Rating:

I live about 45 minutes from Fort wilderness so we camp there quite often for weekend trips. The campground was built in the 1970's so many of the sites will be tight for a large motor coach or fifth wheel. Only problems I have are the campfire restrictions and it's quite expensive. Other than that, we always have a great time camping at the Fort. We hardly ever visit the parks and just enjoy the campground and amenities. Dogs are allowed on the buses now but must be in a crate. Plenty of wildlife and don't be surprised if a group of wild turkeys stroll through your site. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Tryon international equestrian center, Tryon resort, Mill Spring, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

New campground with newly planted trees which need time to mature, so the sites are in open sun. Most, if not all the campers are staying for the horse shows. Limited laundry room with 3 washer and dryers. $1.00 per load. Water and sewer are not in the best location for your neighbors. Too close to the sitting area and BBQ grills. The horse show grounds are well manicured and beautiful. Easy access to the interstate. We camped at Tryon international equestrian center, Tryon resort in a Travel Trailer.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $130.00
Overall Rating:

Campground was near capacity but did not feel cramped. Plenty of space between campsites. Some sites have better privacy than others, just depends on the landscaping between sites. If you have a long trailer some of the sites can be tight when backing in. It's a big place so many have golf carts or bikes to get around. There is bus transport to and from the amenity areas. For a cheap meal we ordered a pizza from P&J's Southern Takeout located at the Trading Post. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort, Hardeeville, South Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and well maintained campground. A few of the sites are a bit higher on grade than the road. If you have a lower trailer like an Airstream backing into the higher site might give you some trouble with rubbing the underside. We had to move to another site because of this. They allowed us to change sites which was just an nice on the lake. For the most part not really an issue as there are only a few sites like this. We camped at Camp Lake Jasper RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.
