Attempted to make reservation June 9, 2010 and was informed that they don't do temporary stays only permanent.

I arrived late for a one night stay. When I checked in at the gate, they could see that I was pulling a fifth-wheel trailer. They sent me to a spot that would hold a motorhome of the same size as my trailer alone. I was only staying one night and couldn't get a pull through. I tried to make the circle with my truck/trailer combo and couldn't make it. There was a tree stump being used to block the edge of the roadway. I caught the last 3 inches of the back cap. It partially came off. Was doing maybe 3 miles an hour or less going over a speed bump. Couldn't tell if the pulling was me hitting something or speed bump. My fault, but they clearly shouldn't have sent me to that area in the dark. I would go again if I had to work in that neighborhood or visit family. Just not the circle. Has a ton of security and is gated.

Easy access. Checked in late. Site was easy to find on map after dark. Wi-Fi was very fast. Most parks have limited internet. Off season, so not much available (pool closed, etc.). They have an arcade and some bicycles. I stayed 3 nights. Reserved two on internet and decided to stay another last minute. Internet Special at the time was stay two days get third free. Oh well. We enjoyed our day trips to Asheville and Black Mountain.

I made the mistake of returning to this campground. I could not pass up the work offer in Jacksonville. They allow pets, but are not pet friendly. Asked to pickup others dog waste since it was near us although not from our dogs. They would mow over any dog toys left out. We made arrangements to clean up toys before mowing, but they would change days on us. We reserved the clubhouse for a private function one night. The owners decided to have their own function and canceled us the day of with threats of eviction if we complained. One of their own employees complained to us about the owner's inappropriate behavior and sexual advances. Notes were taped to our door after requesting they not do that. We asked for notes to be given to us with our mail in office. Wireless internet is extremely weak. I informed the owner that our extra vehicle and car hauler would go to a storage unit the following day after arrival since it was late. We woke to a note on the door the next morning that we would have to move the vehicle and hauler as if we never spoke to her. This is the worst park I have ever stayed. Try Goose Creek Campground. I moved there after tolerating this place for too long. Avoid the owners at all costs and even better avoid this terrible park. I stayed for 10 long months and paid a monthly rate.

Stayed here for one year. Review is from 3/08 to 3/09. Paid with discounted 4 month rate of about $2400 or $2600, can't remember exactly. Off season monthly is $575.00. Nice gated park. This is a repeat for me. They let me build a deck for my stay. One of the employees helped me take it down when I left. Very quiet away from the waterfront. Much better than last time with all the parties. Very quiet Sunday night to Friday morning. Heavy weekend occupancy. Very dog friendly. Huge water slide. Would stay again if in area. Local dining is limited and not that close. Emerald Isle and Morehead have decent restaurants.

We made reservations for a 3 month stay for $300.00 monthly. The park looked very nice until you reach the end where most RV's get stuck if you are long term. There is a tanker size propane tank and three trash bins to stare at and smell. Request a spot in between mobile homes. Follow the rules closely and don't ask for any special requests like an extra vehicle or you will get notes on your door every day and cones put out in front of your lot. If you are a medical traveler this is the closest place to stay. Don't bother with any other park. We visited each park in the Springfield list personally in case we had to relocate. Most are just parking lots with hookups.

Now a KOA. Signs just went up and the price went up. Good for overnight. Wifi free with strong signal. Nice shade trees. Well manicured grass areas for pets off to sides of park. I would stay here again passing through or if doing most of my visit in Memphis and surrounding area.

This was an overnight stay for us. We were accommodated for our extra capacity as we were traveling with an extra vehicle. Very nice and friendly. Close to interstate. Plenty of restaurants within a 5 mile radius if you are tired of fast food. Would stay again if on our path of travel.

Spent 10 weeks here at the end of high season. Very busy in April but by May the place was mostly cleared out. Weekends would pick back up. One lap pool shorter than 25 yards not heated. One spa operational, the other drained. Family pool just like you would find in your backyard was nice and heated just right. Clubhouse not in use off season. Pool restrooms clean. Laundry room and restrooms in middle of park nice and clean. Concrete pads for motorcoach only. Nice people and staff in park. Pathway throughout park for nature trail. Pet friendly. Gated with keypad entrance. Tennis courts, shuffleboard, fire pit near Rally circle. Two resident alligators to watch in separate ponds. Easy access to I-95. Would stay again. Reserve early for motorcoach lots in high season.

Stayed here only due to proximity to Jacksonville. Continuous bombings, machine gun fire, and helicopter training by local military base. Pictures actually rattled off counters and shelves from disturbances. Poor cellular and wireless connectivity. Found notes left taped to our door on multiple occasions regarding rules we did not break. Owners not in good communication with each other regarding rules. Would be told one thing by husband then wife would change policy on a whim. They also photographed our coach for their advertisement without our permission, from a previous visit until we found a better place to stay. The picture shows a picnic table that we never had. The most recent stay for this review, we had a picnic table when we pulled in that disappeared the next morning. Muddy with potholes. One row for RV and tents with tall trees. Would only stay here again for work requirements, but would rather turn down work than stay here again.

Spent 10 months on waterfront lot in summer. Trash pick up was nice. Mail delivered to door by office staff. Boat ramp accessible. Grass area off water front behind our lot was used in day for boat trailer parking, tents, and at night for large golf cart parties with DJ. Parties were aimed at the younger crowd. Expect people to walk through lots and drive carts through at night as late as 12:30. Security is present. Local police are hired to keep things in order. Never noticed real problem. Liked security gate, although was always broke with people driving through them. Salt air corroded everything we had out. Would return if brought back in area for work or vacation. Very pet friendly. Pool small for size of park, but huge water slide. Antique auction next to park was great, found many great deals.

Only park close to Roanoke. Low water pressure. Poor satellite reception for most sites due to large hillside. Not a recommended vacation stay. Overnight or couple day stay at best. Spent 9 months here for work. Pet friendly. Storage for extra trailers and vehicles at front of park. Dirt lots. Park turns off water during winter at all sites. Need to fill up near dump station or during day at site if temperature above freezing.
