Morro Strand RV Park, Morro Bay, California

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Super clean park (love their stance on cigarette butts!) split into two sections: larger rigs are on the north side of Atascadero Road, smaller to the south. (Office on the north.) Very clean laundry on the south side. Fantastic proximity to Morro Rock and onward to the Embarcadero. Very good info sheet -- one of the best I've seen. We'll be back! We camped at Morro Strand RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Rincon Parkway Campground, Ventura, California

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

The cheapest oceanfront property you'll ever rent! Tons of open spots on a December day, but I'll bet they pack up in warmer weather. The proximity to the crashing surf might be a bit disconcerting to some (loud!), but I've never had the chance to live this close to the beach. Sites are a tad different in size (maybe a foot or two), so scout carefully if you need more room. We camped at Rincon Parkway Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Jojoba Hills SKP Resort - Escapees Park - 55+ Park, Aguanga, California

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $5.00
Overall Rating:

Just a quick visit to the boondocking area, but we will certainly return to this gem! Beautifully maintained HUGE property with all the amenities you could wish. Surprised to find a great, active airgun range on the far edge of the property: that's an amenity we've never seen! Landscaped walking paths wind around boulders; a waterfall and some ponds add interest. Front office staff friendly and helpful. Temecula is the nearest town for real shopping; about 15 miles away. $5 dump fee in the boondocking area. We camped at Jojoba Hills SKP Resort - Escapees Park - 55+ Park in a Travel Trailer.

Post office is so close, it is almost walking distance, although there is an official USPS mailbox near the clubhouse. The park does not accept mail, but the post office will accept General Delivery.
