Swan Creek, Tanner, Alabama

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice campground for a 1 night stop over. FHU site that's about 3 mile off I65 north or south. Park manager was ver accommodating and I believe if we needed anything she would have helped. We called approximately 5 hours out and gave us a spot, gave us the option if we didn't like it she had others but that was not necessary. Site was up front and easy in and out. We would definitely stay again passing through. It appears there may be some full timers in the campground however we were separated from them up front. We camped at Swan Creek in a Motorhome.

Coastline RV Resort, Eastpoint, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $52.00
Overall Rating:

Very beautiful and very relaxing. We are pleased we stayed at this wonderful resort, and the reason I refer to it as a resort is merely because of the available amenities. Resort style restrooms and showers as well as beautiful pool area. The area is top notch and whether you want to relax at hereby St. George Island or kayak or fish all of this available. There is very little shade at this resort however it's Florida and August so we knew it would be hot and sunny and that's no reflection on or control of the resort. The campground next to the resort owned by the same principals does have a little shade however not as resort like so keep that in mind. Overall we definitely would visit again, the staff would had helped if asked and there is plenty of room for tow cars and relaxing on the patio next to coach. Road noise does exist up front, in back it may be different but you don't get the view of the bay. We camped at Coastline RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Cypress Lakes RV Park, Calvert City, Kentucky

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful area to stop for a day or two if traveling. My wife and I were in town for a wedding so we weren't really at the park for long periods of time however when we were there everyone was very nice and willing to help if I had any issues. I would say 3/4 of the park are permanent residents and the only visitor sides would be spots 21-28 I believe they are all pull through gravel sites but all are very level. Anyhow, close to Kentucky Damn Lake, restaurants, interstates and full hook ups. Sites are a little narrow but wide enough to put slides out. We would return again if passing through for a break. We camped at Cypress Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Campfire Lodgings, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I had a great visit to wonderful Asheville... Campfire Lodgings is a beautiful location for rest and relaxation and already can't wait to return again. First, the views are wonderful and the weather couldn't had been any better. Secondly, the grounds are beautifully maintained and clean and management does a remarkable job keeping up with everything. All are willing to help in any way. Lastly, the hiking trails are great not too long or short and it gave us time to get some exercise for us and our dog. In closing visit Campfire Lodgings if you want some rest and peacefulness in the mountains. Thank you every at CL for your generosity. We camped at Campfire Lodgings in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We stayed in a deluxe site(17) very shady and still got the view of the mountains without being on the premier sire. This site would accommodate probably nothing longer than 40 ft . and we were at 37 ft. We did not have a tow vehicle or use the restrooms but I would assume they are clean and well kept. Entrance was not too bad it's a little steep going up and down but as long as your not stupid it would be fine. When we return I would pick site 17 or 1 of the premiers imo.

Paintsville Lake Campgrounds, Staffordsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful state park and beautiful lake. The weather was a little cool but definitely not as bad as it could had been . Camp Hosts that we met couldn't be nicer and were willing to do anything if we had asked or needed something. I am sure during the season this park gets very busy, however we were about the only visitors there for a long weekend so it was very nice and quiet. Lake was gorgeous and there were a lot of boaters fishing on Sunday morning. There is a restaurant at the marina however we didn't eat there and I am not sure if it was open. I would recommend this state park to anyone. I believe there is a trail to walk however don't believe it's within walking distance to the campground. Site 9 and 10 both pull throughs and very spacious. Some of the other sites which were back in could had definitely fit our 40 ft mh. All utilities close to site. We camped at Paintsville Lake Campgrounds in a Motorhome.

We just relaxed at the campground for the day and half we were there. Weather was cloudy a little chilly but not too bad mid 40's. Will definitely visit again as the park is open year round. Dogs are welcome to enjoy as well...

Nashville Shores, Hermitage, Tennessee

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $72.00
Overall Rating:

My wife and I were in Nashville for a wedding and it was our inaugural trip in our 40 ft. Newmar Dutchstar. First, the site (37) was perfect with beautiful views of the lake. The weather was perfect with fairly mild temps in the afternoon and just cool enough for a fire in the pit provided. We would definitely visit again. All the hookups were perfect and satellite tv worked like a charm to watch any of the football games on that evening and night. We did not use the bath house and all those that worked at the park were extremely helpful in anything we needed. Very beautiful lake and water park even though it wasn't open. However, I am sure it gets crowded during the season and probably would go in off season again. We camped at Nashville Shores in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We did not have a tow vehicle but saw some that did. It looked as if it would be navigational throughout the park however its tight around the initial entrance to our site (Check Nashville Shores layout map) and also be advised of the turn around at the dead end of park. I actully did not follow the rules and made my own way out by just baking up and pulling forward a few times. Once I walked down there to the turn around I had a feeling I would tear something up and I wasn't going to try it.
