Boulder Beach Campground, Boulder City, Nevada

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

This park is very close to boon docking, But it is a nice park very clean and Right on the shore of Lake Mead. There are no electric, sewer or water hookups in the camp sites so we used solar. There is water at different locations through out the park. I am close enough to one I can actually fill up. There is a dump station at the front of the park that we visit about once a week. There are beautiful trees, bushes and ground cover between the campsites all through the park. I was at a full service park a short distance from here and it was a parking lot. The sun is hot with no shade. This place is very very nice. We camped at Boulder Beach Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Mead RV Village, Boulder City, Nevada

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

The Park has a great view of the lake, But reminds me of a parking lot. Bath house was nice once we got in but had all kind of regulations that at times made it hard to use. They said it was because of the other local park campers trying to use there bath house it had every thing you need and the staff was friendly. They do have propane and it is easy to get to. The problem we had is there are no trees or shade. We tried to put up our awning but it was a bit windy right by the lake so we could no keep it up. Being on a parking lot with no shade and blistering sun was too much for us. we moved to another local[ park that had lots and lots of trees. Nothing to really place them above normal. We camped at Lake Mead RV Village in a Fifth Wheel.

Anchors Aweigh RV Resort, Foley, Alabama

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped for a few weeks again this year. It is still a very nice looking park. large paved lots Nice community room pool and hot tub. Lots going on in the community room. thought I would try and get a little more involved this year. we are looking for a place to stay for several months during the winter. The staff is great very friendly and helpful. So on a roll through looks great. However many things need to be changed before a person could enjoy several months there. The Wi-Fi still does not seem to have improved any. Getting on in the evening even just to check e-mail is at times not possible at all. In the middle of the day it seems to work well it is just over loaded in the evening. The so called Craft/meeting room is very small and does not seem to be available to everyone. It seems If one of the chosen few that have keys are not there it remains locked, at all times and no access. I did catch it open a few times stopped in a few times to try and talk, and it was very clear very quickly there was not room for me and she was not going to make any room. One person seemed to dominate the room as if she owned the room. Trying to tell every one where to put and not to put things. The game/workout room is also small the workout equipment is pushed over to one side to make room for a puzzle table. With every thing crammed into the room with one table it is almost unusable. If two people are putting together puzzles it ties up the whole room. The laundry and not been updated any scene last year, also very small only two or three very old washers and dryers. The floor does not look like it has been cleaned scene last year. Really hate to review so harshly on the problem areas but things seem to have gone down hill sense last year with no changes on the horizon. A little enlargement in a few places and a person being put into there place it could be a really nice place to spend winters. We camped at Anchors Aweigh RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Perdido Key RV Resort & Marina, Pensacola, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $75.00
Overall Rating:

This is a excellent park. Very nice sites with grass in between. Outlined with a curb and gravel pads. Wi-Fi is excellent never slow. They are right on the inter coastal waterway. They have Docks for large boats. RV sites facing the waterway, a playground and picnic area. They do not have propane. The pool is small but very nice and clean. One bathroom/ Shower for males and one for females. No Hot tub. The roads are very tight and a bit narrow if you have a big rig but more than half of the units are large and they manage. There is a over pass causeway right on the east side of the park but it is raised so you do not really get much noise. The staff is great, the actives people have some thing going almost every day. Breakfast every Saturday. Very nice park. We camped at Perdido Key RV Resort & Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Gulf State Park Campground, Gulf Shores, Alabama

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $85.00
Overall Rating:

They have raised the camping fees a lot every year over the last two years. added several taxes over and above the camping fees and it is now very expensive. None of the revenue seems to have gone into infrastructure and the park is going down hill. No changes in the showers. The people in the office are very short, but I get the impression they are being pushed from both sides the campers and the state. The park is huge and very busy. the main center road is not a good place to camp. and a line of continues rigs. in and out. During the summer the pool is open and is nice. winter it is closed. Store and laundry, are open year round. The wi-Fi they list does not work at all. I found a few places I could connect but no internet access. The park is located fairly close to Alabama 59 so all the stores you need. There are tennis courts nature center activities room. If we where camping with lots of kids it could be better than the average RV Park with things to do. But for snow birds or adults just looking for a park it is not worth the price. We camped at Gulf State Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Santa Rosa RV Resort, Navarre, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a week; it is really a nice park right on the inter coastal waterway.

Lots going on in the club house. Lots of off campus trips to interesting places. One draw back - it is right on the main four lane highway. We were only there for a week, so they put us on the back line of RV's That puts you 30 feet from the road. When a emergency car goes buy at 3 am it raises you right out of bed. But a great park other than that. Pay a little more and get the front row. We camped at Santa Rosa RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
