Sunsetview Farm Camping Area, Monson, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Literally the only people we saw in this whole town are in this campground. Very busy. Golf cart city. Lovely mudhole to swim in with a DJ in the evening........ Not kidding. Great for kids. Not great for adults looking for quiet camping. The staff is friendly, though. Laundry is not easily accessible. Fire pits are placed in an odd place, where if you want a campfire, you are smoking your neighbors out, so we didn't bother. We camped at Sunsetview Farm Camping Area in a Travel Trailer.

Bayley's Camping Resort, Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $97.00
Overall Rating:

This was the most expensive campground we've stayed at on our trip through 11 different states. I can't believe so many people are paying nearly $100 a night for such a place. If you have kids, it might be worth it. If you want to relax, have a place to do laundry, and enjoy the nature, this is not the place for you. Bayley's is more of a woodsy amusement park for people in their big rigs who aren't actually camping at all. Would not return. Again, it depends on what type of camping you like. We camped at Bayley's Camping Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Bayley's family runs the whole town. Good luck finding something not owned by them.

Wild Duck Campground & RV Park (Adult Only), Scarborough, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Wild Duck was one of our favorite spots in our cross country journey. Private, lovely scenery, quiet, clean laundry facilities. Some permanent residents. We wanted to stay longer but there was no room. Would love to go back to wild duck. We camped at Wild Duck Campground & RV Park (Adult Only) in a Travel Trailer.

Bar Harbor Campground, Bar Harbor, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

Campground is large. Sites are average. There are only 6 coveted sites that are "water view", but not waterfront, and they cost extra. You have to claim your site by marking it with a sign or some other materials you can leave on the site and hope someone doesn't come move it before you can check in. Bring cash or your grandma's checkbook to pay. We camped at Bar Harbor Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Beacon Hill Campground (Ages16+), Intercourse, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This was the 8th State on our travels. Intercourse is the heart of Amish country and very cool place to see. Many Amish shops nearby. Sites 2, 3, and 4 are probably the best and shadiest. Sites are fairly small. Friendly staff, friendly campers, definitely would stay here again. We camped at Beacon Hill Campground (Ages16+) in a Travel Trailer.

Point South KOA, Yemassee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA has excellent people and service. The office has an adorable coffee shop, The Swimming Mermaid, and pizza parlor. The owner is very hospitable. About a 30 minute drive from Beaufort, SC. We only stayed here overnight but site was clean and up to typical KOA standards. Some sites seem to be more private than others. Would ask for one of those next time. We camped at Point South KOA in a Travel Trailer.
