Excellent park for visiting Lancaster. Friendly staff, clean facilities, well groomed grounds, roads and sites are gravel, level sites and spacious pull thru. Tuck in the Wood Campground, St. Helena, South Carolina

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We arrived late in the evening after a long 10 hour drive and found that our site was occupied. Another long term guest close by helped us navigate the tight roads and pull into another site. We contacted the owner and he was helpful and apologized. The interior roads are narrow, sites are a bit tight to get in to. It is heavily wooded with lots of shade. Facilities were decent and clean. It had gravel road and pads. There are several long term campers here. Verizon service was very good. The rate reflects the value in this campground. We would return again. We camped at Tuck in the Wood Campground in a Motorhome.

Parris Island RV Park (Military FamCamp), Parris Island Marine Base, South Carolina

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is located on the Parris Island Marine Corps base. Check-in is virtual once you get in the main gate. Campground is not staffed so you find your site and park. There is only 20 sites open after the recent hurricanes. Full hook up concrete sites are all back in and very spacious. There is no tree shade. The bathhouse and laundry facilities were very clean and well maintained. The sunsets are very nice and there is a waterfront park a couple miles down the road. The historical marker trail behind the gold course was very educational. Verizon service was excellent. We would return again! We camped at Parris Island RV Park (Military FamCamp) in a Motorhome.

South of the Border, Dillon, South Carolina

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We used this campground a couple times for an overnight stop. It is very easy to get to off 95 and was good value for the nightly rate. South of Border attractions are within walking distance. Verizon service is excellent. The pull thru sites are spacious, long & level and interior roads are good. The bathhouse and facilities could use some attention. Strictly an overnight rest site for us and would return again for this reason. We camped at South of the Border in a Motorhome.

This is a great value for the location. The campground is located in the rear of the park and the roads are a bit narrow. Many of the sites are shaded with lots of trees. Verizon cell service was very good. Facilities were decent and the staff was very friendly. We used this location for a couple nights before heading into Disney. We would return. Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

This is a Disney Resort and operated as such. The check in process was a bit of challenge when there was no parking in the overflow lot while waiting for the site to be "ready" after arriving a couple hours early. The interior roads, level sites and facilities are very well maintained. We stayed in the premium loop sites close the ferry that takes you the parks. Keep in mind this was built many years ago when RV's were not as big, so the sites can be difficult to get into. Golf cart rentals were helpful getting around this large resort. The free transit buses transport to all parks & will pick up and drop off inside the campground. This is a big plus and a parking fee savings! Verizon service was excellent. Staff was very helpful with having to depart early because of the hurricane. There is a lot of activities to do just in the campground itself and is a vacation inside a vacation. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Merry Meadows Recreation Farm (formerly Morris Meadows), Freeland, Maryland

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Narrow roads, facilities need work and maintenance, bathrooms & showers had mold, building are need paint and are deteriorating. Low water pressure and sewer was negative grade. There are rules posted at every corner. This place could be very very nice with some of the profit reinvested. They charge a fee for everything. Camp store was well stocked and the staff was friendly. Verizon service was good. Would NOT camp here again. We camped at Merry Meadows Recreation Farm (formerly Morris Meadows) in a Motorhome.

Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $90.00
Overall Rating:

Hershey recently purchased this campground. Improvements are being made. Sites are close and tight with gravel. Roads are one way and can be a challenge. Disconnect your tow vehicle to help get thru this maze. There is a free air conditioned shuttle bus that takes you to and from the park. Discount park tickets can bought at the campground office. Friendly staff, clean facilities, well maintained grounds and pool. With Hershey owning this I suspect more improvements to be made and make this an excellent campground. Verizon service was excellent. We would return again. We camped at Hersheypark Camping Resort (formerly Hershey Highmeadow Campground) in a Motorhome.

Outdoor Resorts Virginia Beach, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2014 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent staff and very accommodating! The property is located on the bay side and across the road to the oceanfront. Beaches are clean and not crowded. Several waterfront (bay) lots are available. The sites consist of a several park models in new to fair shape. The roads are paved and sites are concrete. Two pools and playground are well kept. WiFi was spotty but worked. You can expect some noise from the restaurant/bar next door til midnight on a Friday or Saturday nights. We camped at Outdoor Resorts Virginia Beach in a Motorhome.

Outdoor Resorts Virginia Beach, Virginia Beach, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2013 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Quiet and peaceful place! Staff was friendly and very helpful. Gated entry with paved roads and sites. Mostly seasonal. Well maintained lots and facilities. Pools were clean - there are two located within the park. Sites are level and many back to the bay. The beach, pier, local supply store and bar are well within walking distance. If you prefer the busy "mainstream" noisy beach atmosphere, stay 20 minutes north in VA Beach. This was our second stay and third next year! We camped at Outdoor Resorts Virginia Beach in a Motorhome.

Frontier Town RV Resort & Campground, Berlin, Maryland

Date of Stay: June, 2013 - $103.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first visit. We elected to stay because of the school aged children activities. In perspective; it's a busy place, a breeding golf cart farm and all around on dusty roads. The staff needs help with customer service and welcoming the guest. Customer service is less than desirable- but then again, why would they care about you when you're just a drop in the bucket? We stayed on Z lane "premium" sites. Concrete pad does not justify "premium" sites nor the $100/night charge. There are plenty of activities for children. The picture I gathered was a "mom-n-pop" amusement park on the bay. It is all about the dollar at this place; they charge for practically everything. In a summary - you're just a number. We camped at Frontier Town RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park for a Halloween 2012. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Park was clean and well groomed. Nice lake to fish and the waterfall is a nice back drop! The sites are close quarters and can be a challenge to navigate. We camped at Shenandoah Valley Campground in a Motorhome.

Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park, Manheim, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We selected this park for a visit to Hershey Park. Compared to other parks, within 30 minutes to Hershey, this place offers great value! The staff was short winded and somewhat friendly. There are several seasonal park models that ranged from poor condition to newer. Our gravel level site was next to the pool and playground. Although next to the PA turnpike, we did not hear much road noise at all. Clean grounds, a small stocked camp store, game room, fishing pond and in-ground pool are well cared for. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Endless Caverns Resort, New Market, Virginia

Date of Stay: May, 2012 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Great park in the works! This was our second visit over the past couples years. Not any huge improvements since we last stayed. The campground is built into a ridge with level sites. Big rig's should stay on the lower level. Fourwheel drive is recommended for the upper sites and can be managed with a travel trailer and/or F'ver. Dissappointed when we arrive with site overgrown with weeds and grass not mowed. Also there is a cable hook up at each site but no service? I thought this was odd since it is part of the NASCAR RV Resorts with no way of watching the races unless you trek down to the building which has a very large screen to watch it. Otherwise this park is very nice. We camped at Endless Caverns Resort in a Motorhome.
