Port St Lucie RV Resort, Port Saint Lucie, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

The rate is based on monthly with electric. They really pack 'em in close here! Our site was particularly sandwiched close to others. We did have room, though, to park our car in front of our motorhome in the driveway. Most others had to park in the perpendicular. We had some problems with leveling. They have recycling, which is important to us. At night, the entire area is not lit. There is no set place to walk your dog. The pool is solar heated. We camped at Port St Lucie RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Kissimmee RV Park (formerly Orange Grove Campground and RV Park), Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Would give zero stars if I can. I made a reservation over 3 months in advance via their website with a deposit and given a site number. I show up and they have no record of the reservation and the site is booked to someone else! Furious. Not easy to find another place to stay during snowbird season. They say it was due to a new system. Apologies, but I still haven't received my refund 3 days later. We camped at Kissimmee RV Park (formerly Orange Grove Campground and RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground), St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a really nice campground in St. Augustine. Last year on our way south, we stayed at another campground in the area, but it wasn't nearly as nice, nor as well located. Although we were in the "Grove" section, the older area of the park, it was perfectly adequate for our needs (staying less than 5 nights). We arrived after dark and an escort takes you to your site, which is a great service. This was past office closing hours, too. We camped at Compass RV Park (formerly Indian Forest Campground) in a Motorhome.

Yosemite RV Resort, RVC Outdoor Destination (formerly Yosemite South , Coarsegold, California

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Our site barely fit the width of our 8' wide motorhome with a picnic table due to sloping. Hard to level. WiFi service is a joke. Water pressure is a trickle at 10 to 20 PSI. I would not recommend anyone to stay here until they fix up this place. It is under new ownership and no longer a KOA. Way overpriced. They need to shut it down and just renovate it. We camped at Yosemite RV Resort, RVC Outdoor Destination (formerly Yosemite South in a Motorhome.

Presnell's Bayside Marina & RV Resort, Port St. Joe, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We had a waterfront site! New service units, gravel. Sites are close but angled. It's all about the location. The sunsets are spectacular right from our site. We stayed 5 days. I would definitely come again. We like this area and there's a lot to explore nearby. It's called the "forgotten coast". We camped at Presnell's Bayside Marina & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There's a long bike path throughout Cape San Blas. In Port St. Joe, go to Provisions, a great fine dining restaurant. There's a good Pet store in town and a Vet. Also, there's an off leash dog beach at Cape San Blas, which is rare for Florida.

Riverside RV Resort & Campground, Arcadia, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

We had one of their smaller sites with just 30 amp service, which was fine for us. They were filled up for the 2 weeks we were there and we were lucky we had a good spot near the entrance. This is a nice and friendly park with a lot of snowbirds. It is actually a pretty large resort with differing levels of site pricing. They have a beautiful dog park; one of the nicest parks I've ever seen. There's river access to the Peace River. We launched our kayak there and it was a wonderful river to explore. Since it was a warm February, the pool was great. The location is good for shopping with a Walmart, Publix, etc all within about 5 miles away. This location has a nice country feel to it, rather than being within a high density populated area. There's a lot to see and do in the Port Charlotte and Punta Gorda area. We camped at Riverside RV Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Winter Quarters Manatee RV Resort, Bradenton, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

We were in a premium site but were still very close to I75. The noise from the highway is difficult for sleeping if you like it quiet. We left a day early because of that. You're also packed like sardines next to other RVs. You have to empty your own trash at the dumpsters by the exit of the facility. I would expect trash service at the rate they charge. Overall, the worst place we stayed at in our 3 month trek throughout Florida. We camped at Winter Quarters Manatee RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Road Runner Travel Resort, Fort Pierce, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here a month. Our site was very roomy. The people here are nice. The store is handy. The restaurant is very good. The bathrooms are immaculate. The laundry facilities are really good with plenty of machines for washing and drying and the store stocks quarters! They have a lot of activities going on every day during the winter months. Being in northern Ft. Pierce area, it's only 8 miles to Vero Beach. I will return here again next year. We camped at Road Runner Travel Resort in a Motorhome.

Best bet for food shopping is Winn Dixie about 4.5 miles away. Vero or Port St. Lucie have the big box stores with Vero being closer to the campground. Ft. Pierce does have some good restaurants, too.

Stagecoach RV Park, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $38.00

Most of the sites are in a grassy field. We had plenty of room for our motorhome and toad. They are located right off 95 and close to the outlet mall stores. We stayed 2 nights. We camped at Stagecoach RV Park in a Motorhome.

The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort, Titusville, Florida

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $56.00
Overall Rating:

The sites are individually owned and put into a rental pool. This is a great place if you love to golf. There is no WiFi or cable TV. We did not even have a picnic table. This is a huge resort/area. The speed limit is 15 mph with policing to enforce it. It is at least 3 miles from most sites out to route 50, so it takes quite some time to exit the area for shopping, etc. We would not stay here again. We camped at The Great Outdoors RV Nature & Golf Resort in a Motorhome.
