Superstition Buttes MH & RV Park (55+), Apache Junction, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

What we like best about this park is how roomy the spaces are. It is very easy for a large motorhome to get in and out of spaces, compared to other parks in the area. Streets are nice and wide. There are many other RV spaces, not just park models. The park offers a swimming pool, library, laundry, work out room among other offerings. We camped at Superstition Buttes MH & RV Park (55+) in a Motorhome.

Lost Dutchman RV Resort, Apache Junction, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

On the plus side, the park was clean. On the negative side, roads are very narrow as are the sites. Trees are planted right in the middle of many sites, giving another obstacle to maneuver around. We have a 40 foot motor home (no slides) and it was very difficult to get into and out of the site. The head maintenance man was wonderful in helping us out in this matter. However, overall, this is not an RV friendly park, the majority of the park is park models, older, and very close together. We were there two months and didn't find most occupants to be very friendly. The average age seemed to be in the late 70s to 80s. Some of the equipment in the fitness room was broken. The wood shop is very small. The park was fanatical about wearing a name badge, even if you walked or biked outside the park, you'd better have your name badge when you came back in. We had to leave early due to a family health emergency and the park management/owner was not willing to refund any of our advanced payment. We will not return there, nor would we recommend it to anyone with an RV over 30 feet. If you want to buy one of their park models, maybe it's for you. We camped at Lost Dutchman RV Resort in a Motorhome.
