Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Nicest laundry rooms I've ever had the privilege of using. Park backs up to great hiking trails and has amazing scenery. Activities galore. Several buildings scattered throughout the park. The library had the best selection of books I've ever seen at an RV park - had a decent selection of DVD's too. Sewing or craft room, T.V lounge with satellite TV, main club house, several bathrooms/showers scattered around the park, yoga room, gym with some very nice gym equipment and treadmills, pool hall, 2 dog runs. They accept mail and package delivery. TV reception in the park isn't great. We didn't get Fox, NBC or ABC. This isn't the parks fault, but if you MUST have TV and don't have satellite you wouldn't love this. To be fair, they are very clear about the fact that TV reception isn't good right from the start. I understand that people with satellite had great reception. We did get CBS, MeTV, ION, Grit, and PBS. Owner is very nice, and does not allow loud, rude behavior in the middle of the night. I'm guessing any negative reviews come from people who don't follow rules. We had no complaints. Sites are comparable to most parks. Close, but enough room for slide outs and picnic table. We will stay here again, and highly recommend it to others. We camped at Desert Trails RV Park (40+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA), Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $23.00
Overall Rating:

The front desk staff was not very organized or knowledgeable. 3/6 washing machines were out of order for the entire month we stayed. Many of the dryers did not work well or at all. The park is a parking lot (literally), with full hook ups. It is on the strip across the street from the Circus Circus Casino, and very close to the bus stop. We read reviews of people getting their bikes stolen. Our bikes were fine, but the RV'ers across from us did get their very expensive bikes stolen between 8-10am (yes in broad daylight). After that, the security guard on a bike did made several trips thru the park. I would stay here again, but would not plan to use restrooms or laundry facilities. I would get reservations confirmed in writing. If this was a "regular" RV park I would give it a "3", but since it is the only RV park on the strip, and close to things we wanted to do, I'd say it was OK We camped at Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Get a city bus pass, driving on the strip is a nightmare. 3 day passes were only $24 and take you on the strip, to Freemont Street, and can transfer to the airport or other routes.
