South Padre Island KOA, South Padre Island, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park right on the water. It is easy to access and easy to maneuver a RV once you are inside the park. Not much shade, but the water makes up for that. Staff was helpful and the restrooms were clean. We enjoyed our visit and can't wait to return next year. If you don't like crowds, then you may want to visit in the off season. We camped at South Padre Island KOA in a Motorhome.

I-35 RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We decided to give this park another try after our last visit. After this visit, I will say that there is no way this park is getting legitimate positive reviews. Obviously the owner is having friends type reviews. Trying to get to this park is almost impossible. Signage is non existant. This park is nothing but a paved parking lot. Barely any trees and a lot of run down long term trailers. There is no natural shade anywhere. The restrooms had litter on the floor and smelled musty. Stay at your own risk. Find a different park to stay at if you hope to find a tree or a clean bathroom. We camped at I-35 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Amarillo Ranch RV Park, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2011 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice park with good interior roads. Although the roads were paved, it still seemed to be a lot of dust stirred up anytime a rig came driving by our site. Maybe that is just northeast Texas environment; as I am not familiar with the area. The showers and restrooms were clean and we had a good, strong Internet connection. We really liked the fact that they had an enclosed pet walk. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay there again. We camped at Amarillo Ranch RV Park in a Motorhome.

Texarkana KOA, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: November, 2011 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We enjoyed staying the night here. Showers and bathrooms were clean and we got a strong Wi-Fi signal. We could hear the highway when outside of our rig, but it was quiet once we were inside. You can either choose easy on/off access to the highway with a little noise or you can choose a secluded park that is difficult to find at night with less noise. We like easy on/off access. The office staff was friendly and helpful. The park is a bit dated, but we consider that to be a plus. All of the kinks have been worked out, and the staff is very familiar and aware of any potential problems that they steer you clear of. We liked this park for an overnight spot. We camped at Texarkana KOA in a Motorhome.

We had never stayed at the Rusk KOA, so we decided to give it a try. We were very pleased with the helpful staff and clean facilities. Our site was very level and we had a strong Wi-Fi signal in our rig. We will definitely be back when we are in that area again. We camped at Rusk KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

This was a very nice campground with friendly staff. The restrooms were very clean. There is lots to do in the local area, so we did not have to drive far to eat dinner. If we are up this way again, then we will stay here again. We camped at Glenn Cunningham Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

The staff was friendly and the park was neatly kept. The sites were a little bit narrow, so it was difficult to navigate. They have a large grassy area for pets that we enjoyed. Overall this was a nice park, and we would stay again. We camped at Topeka / Capital City KOA in a Motorhome.

I-35 RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped at this park on our way to South Padre. This park is easily accessible from the Interstate. The grounds seemed to be well kept, but the restrooms were not very clean. There were no trees to speak of, and we felt like we were too cramped. We will leave this park for others to enjoy. We camped at I-35 RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

South Padre Island KOA, South Padre Island, Texas

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park with clean facilities. Staff was helpful. This park is right on the water, so there is a gorgeous view. This was our 2nd time to stay in the park, and I give it high ratings. No issues to speak of other than the lack of shade, but that is to expected since they are right on the beach. We loved it! We camped at South Padre Island KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
