Monte Vista RV Resort, Mesa, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Nice amenities and lots of scheduled activities (I took advantage of scheduled road bike rides). Many Canadians wintering here. Well taken care with good freeway access and nearby restaurants and shopping. We camped at Monte Vista RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Check out the Apache Trail, which winds up the Salt River Canyon out of Apache Junction past Canyon Lake up to Tortilla Flat. Keep going if you don't mind steep dirt road with twists, turns, and blind corners. Fish Creek Hill is exciting and we saw Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep!

Big Pines RV Park, Crescent, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at Big Pines RV Park, with our cat, from Memorial Day until mid-September, 2016. Big Pines is a relaxed, comfortable RV Park with well-kept amenities. Heated water connection and sewer is a 15 ft connection. The owner was a gracious host and helped make our stay all the more enjoyable. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed the park's location between Crater Lake National Park and Bend. We attended the Newberry Event festival in nearby Newberry as well as the Bite of Bend and Summerfest in Bend. Big Pines turned out to be a great choice for us, with reliable utilities, reasonable rates and a nice ambience. I'd definitely recommend staying at Big Pines on your travels through central / southern Oregon.
