My husband and I have been staying at different campgrounds through out the summer and have finally found the perfect spot, at the very end of the season. We camped this past weekend and discovered a place that we want to be our camping season place. This special place is Little Mexico Campground in Winfield PA. The scenery is absolutely beautiful everywhere you look. There is not one, not two, but three ponds in which you may fish or just relax sitting on one of the many benches scattered around. There are many campsites right along Penn's Creek, which is where we stayed. It was so serene and peaceful and had ample space to enjoy time with our family. The guys could fish from our site. We also found the best deal on firewood! Nothing beats sitting along the water with the fire going and loved ones around you. There was so much space for both kids and adults to play any type of sport. There was horseshoes, volleyball, badminton, basketball, ball fields, mini-golf and an arcade for indoor fun. Many different activities were also available for campers to participate. Their store had ample supplies from a large selection of candy for the kids to RV supplies and everything in between. It is the largest camp store we have seen. The pool seems extra large and we cannot wait to be in it when the weather is warmer. The campground is also very safe for both kids and dogs. The speed limit is 5 MPH, and everyone actually followed that rule. Kids may ride bikes safely here. The playgrounds are wonderful and set up for much creative play. We are so excited to take our granddaughters to these play areas next season. There's cable and Wi-Fi, but we did not need that with all we did. The bathrooms are clean and the water is hot and efficient. We were very comfortable everywhere we went and with everything we did. The most amazing part of all was the staff. Everyone was so extremely helpful, from explaining things to delivering items to sharing of local information. We camped at Little Mexico Campground in a Tent.
