Wills Creek RV Park, Fort Payne, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Called while on the road to reserve a site. Owner very nice. Lives on site. Campground good location, close to interstate. Easy to find from interstate. Entrance road to CG: easy in from main road, the road is dirt but well packed and no ruts. Plenty of room in front of office for check in, easy park/go in for check-in. Our site was Pull Through: gravel, level, wide, spaced well from neighbor, length was good (overnight stay so didn't unhook TOAD), plenty of room for MH and TOAD. Rows were wide and easy to navigate. 50 amp service worked well, box in good location. Water pressure was good, spigot in good location. Sewer pipe was in good location, no problems. Leaving site: easy out, plenty room to turn for exit, easy exit from CG on to main road. Easy entrance back on to interstate. Not a fancy park, but nice owners. CG was clean and well kept. Park was quiet at night. Would stay there again. We camped at Wills Creek RV Park in a Motorhome.

Asheville's Bear Creek RV Park & Campground, Asheville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Great location, close to interstate. Easy in/out with 40 ft Motorhome. All the park employees very friendly. When bad weather (snow) was approaching we decided to leave 1 night early to beat the storm. The owner of the park was fully understanding and gave us a full refund of our last night's site fee! It is very refreshing, in today's business world, to find a park owner that puts his client's safety before profits! If we are ever back in Asheville there is no doubt, we will DEFINITELY stay at Bear Creek again! Sites are concrete and level. Our site had a nice view over the interstate, but we didn't hear any road noise inside the Motorhome. Our site was long enough for our 40 ft Motorhome and our TOAD parked long-ways across the front of the Motorhome. Some sites are a little short in length (but there are longer length sites towards the middle of the campground). Yes some sites are a little close together, but we had plenty enough room between us and our neighbor. The road leading to the campground entrance has a couple of curves, but not too tight. Park office was well located, easy stopping area to enable going into office for check in. After checking in the road up to campsites is a little steep, but looked worse than it actually was. The road out of the campground was extremely easy! The 50 amp service worked well, box was in a good spot. Water pressure was good, spigot was in good location. Sewer pipe was in good location, worked fine. We didn't use the internet service. Cable TV was offered, but we didn't use it. Getting to/from the Biltmore Estate from the campground was very easy, only 1 exit away. Restaurants and grocery store close to campground. I would definitely recommend this campground! We camped at Asheville's Bear Creek RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Fort Chiswell RV Park, Max Meadows, Virginia

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Easy in/out off of interstate. Park is close to interstate. Flying J fuel station at entrance/exit of interstate about 1 mile away from Campground entrance. Easy entrance to campground. Sites are gravel, all pull-throughs, very wide, and nicely spaced. Site #23 was long enough for Motorhome with TOAD still attached (overnight stay only) Rows are easy to navigate. 50 amp service worked well, box located in good spot. Water pressure good, spigot nicely located. Sewer pipe in good location. Paid ahead online so I didn't meet any campground employees. But employee lives on sight so if we would have needed assistance it was available. Easy exit from site and campground. Flying J location so close to campground was a definite plus when leaving in the morning for a full day of driving! We would stay here again. We camped at Fort Chiswell RV Park in a Motorhome.

Reunion Lake RV Resort, Ponchatoula, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

CG is close to interstate. Easy to get to from interstate. Entrance is very wide, easy to navigate. Gated Entrance: Check in: good area to park to go inside for check-in. Employees are very nice, check in was easy, took a few minutes due to the arm bands given at check in (arm bands are required while staying at CG. Avoids someone trying to use pool that isn't registered at CG). Shown to our site by employee on golf cart. Roads inside CG are wide and easy to navigate. Our site was a back in: very wide, well spaced from neighbor, level, concrete, no shade. Length was very sufficient, enough room for MH and TOAD with no problems. 50 amp service worked fine, no lulls, box was in good location. Water pressure was good, spigot was in good location. Sewer pipe was in good location. Park is very active due to all the great amenities. A lot of privately owned golf cart traffic, but drivers were fairly quiet. (except for the one blaring the LSU fight song, but it is a catchy tune, so it was ok). 2 pools. (1 adult only, swim up bar, spacious, beautiful) (1 family pool good size, spacious, gated) Outside bar: walk up or swim up, Barstools. Well stocked, friendly employees, prices good, Several TVs around bar. Barstools well spaced. Large deck with tables, chairs, umbrellas off of the bar area. Private lake: no swimming, kayaks available for rental. Large concession stand: good variety of food offered, prices reasonable, food tasty, seating area: deck in front of bar area. Inside bar/clubhouse/gameroom: big screen TV, seating, bar area, good views. Very clean. CG was quiet at night. Sunday morning we were surprised to find a bag of donuts on our picnic table with a "thank you for staying with us" note. VERY nice touch! easy exit from site, plenty or room to turn. Exit is wide, easy to navigate, pronged pop-up type security strip was scary to drive over (but no problems). Easy entrance back on to interstate. Would DEFINITELY stay there again! It was fantastic! We camped at Reunion Lake RV Resort in a Motorhome.
