RV Express RV Park, Marshfield, Missouri

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a conveniently located small 16 site RV park right off I-44. Easy on, easy off, level sites, easy full hook ups and lots of cable channels. Plenty of water pressure, be sure it's not to much for your rig. Some folks might think it's noisy but it's right at the intersection of the interstate so it's to be expected. This is a little gem of a park for an overnight stay on your way to your destination. The staff were very friendly and check in was a breeze. We would stay here again. We camped at RV Express RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Bottomless Lakes State Park, Roswell, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

The camp host at this state park is fantastic, very friendly and helpful. The interior roads of the campground could have used more gravel. The site was level which was nice. We were here during the winter season so not as much going in, visitor center closed. The reason for the rating of 7 is the state park was only so-so, we thought there might be more to do and the park area had trash scattered in many spots. We camped at Bottomless Lakes State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This was a really nice RV resort and we would not hesitate to stay here again and recommend it to others. The sites are a crushed gravel, extremely level and we did not need to unhook. The dog park was really nice and split into two sections so if someone had their dogs in one section you could use the other one. The showers were very clean and included an anteroom that had a sitting bar stool, sink and hair dryer. The office area was beautiful and the staff were extremely helpful. They also had 10% coupons to a variety of local restaurants. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first stay at a KOA resort and we liked it so much we booked three months for next winter. It is located in somewhat of an industrial area but once you are inside you wouldn't really notice it. We thought the location was very convenient to see any of the national parks or Tucson attractions. We loved the fresh fruit trees between all the sites. The sites were very generous in size and we appreciated the concrete pad and patio furniture at each site. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Oink restaurant is a great place for breakfast and Cafe Torino in Oro Valley serves great pizza at lunch. Tucson streets are set up in a grid system so it is fairly easy to navigate to stay off the freeway. Sabino Canyon is a great place for hiking and it is also worth the trip to take the Catalina highway up to Mt. Lemmon.

Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park), Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is primarily a permanent "park model" park and not really an RV park. RV sites are limited and with the exception of one section the other rv sites are interspersed between the park models. Sites are gravel with a concrete pad and difficult to navigate because of a palm tree at each site close to the road. Sites are extremely close to each other and your view is the back or front of another park model and limited outdoor space which made it feel very crowded. If a site next to you opened up the permanent residents used it to park additional vehicles. We were in the pet section and the pet area was very limited altho they did provide pet waste bags and containers. We had reserved a site here for two weeks but left as soon as we could make other arrangements. We camped at Rincon Country (East) RV Resort (55+ park) in a Travel Trailer.

Apache Flats RV Resort (Military FamCamp), Sierra Vista, Arizona

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Part of the military famcamp so you must be active, reserve or retired so stay here. We were only going to stay a week but enjoyed it so much we extended for 10'additional days. The sites are all pull through and very spacious. Showers and laundry were very clean. We experienced some beautiful sunsets while we were here. The cable tv choices were very limited. Most everyone has dogs and the dog areas were pretty small and had lots of sticker/burrs so that was a challenge. The pads were concrete and level and their was a concrete pad and picnic table at every site. We will definitely come back! We camped at Apache Flats RV Resort (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park, Saint Peters, Missouri

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We were taking our trailer to the St. Louis area for repairs and this park was recommended by the dealer. The park is fairly new and was beautiful. We checked in on a Sunday and the park ranger was very helpful in the check in process. The restrooms were immaculate! The park sits on a small lake and there is a very nice walking trail around the lake. We camped at St. Peters' 370 Lakeside Park in a Travel Trailer.

Volunteer Park Travel Campsite (Military FamCamp), White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

We called the same day and the staff at the recreation center were very helpful. This is a small park with full hook-ups and great views of the mountains. There is a grassy park close by for walking our dogs. The commissary is small but the staff there were also extremely friendly and helpful. All sites are pull through, we would stay here again and recommend it. It is a little off the beaten path but we were glad we gave it a try! We camped at Volunteer Park Travel Campsite (Military FamCamp) in a Travel Trailer.

Oasis RV Resort, Amarillo, Texas

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed here one night. We would stay again and highly recommend this park. The office staff were extremely courteous and helpful. All sites were pull through and very level. They had a really nice grassy area for our dogs to use and plenty of convenient pet waste cans. The park is located off I-40 but it was very quiet. We camped at Oasis RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

We were originally just staying one night but the park was so beautiful we extended another night. All the sites in the section we stayed, were all concrete pads that were level. Most of the sites were pull-through. The office staff were extremely courteous. We enjoyed the nature center.
