Oak Creek RV Resort, El Cajon, California

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

High price for the quality & location. Highest laundry costs at $3/wash - $3/dry. Sites so close had to pay $3/night for an remote parking pad for the tow, $1 for ice from a ice machine typically found in a motel for free. Felt nickel & dimed. I think there are better options. We camped at Oak Creek RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

If you're new to San Diego take the Trolley Tour. About two hours, but you can get off and back on another trolley easily and it gives you a very good sense of what's available in San Diego that you might like to visit in depth. Can't give you another CG recommendation, but suggest you try something closer to the city.

Cochise Terrace RV Resort, Benson, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

Very well operated and well kept park. Only cons: our back-in site was not level and the WiFi is terrible, not just bad. A park of this general quality should have good WiFi service as a standard. We camped at Cochise Terrace RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Tombstone is a great fun day trip half an hour away. The Donkey Rescue is a tad longer ride, but the owners were extremely accommodating and introduced us to all 17 of their rescues who were very sweet animals. They don't charge a fee and don't ask for a donation, but it's hard to walk away without offering something for the service they provide at their own expense in helping these animals. Bisbee was an hour drive, glad to say we've been there, but wouldn't make the drive back.
