Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $69.00
Overall Rating:

Best park we've ever been at. Clean, shaded, quiet, level, simply outstanding. Beautiful settings, lots of activities for kids (even if you don't go to the WDW Parks). Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We'll be back! We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Motorhome.

Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA, Cartersville, Georgia

Date of Stay: June, 2007 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access from I-75, clean, quiet - good for an overnight stay. Now the bad. We couldn't connect to WiFi for internet (big deal for us since we were working). We arrived after office closed, so we couldn't get help and there was no phone number for support after hours or for internet. We have reservations for the return trip, but may give up the deposit and avoid due to WiFi not working... We camped at Cartersville / Cassville-White KOA in a Motorhome.

Timberline Campground (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resor, Goodfield, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $39.00

Park wasn't the most modern, but everything worked. There are a large number of seasonal residents, most of whom seem decent, but many of their sites are in need of maintenance. We walked all around the park and wished we hadn't as there are sections that look like a junk yard. The nature trail had junk strewn along the way. A toilet, several rotting couches and chairs, and a junky old golf cart. However, we did walk up on some deer, so the walk was worth it. The lake was covered with lilly pads and stuff, so we didn't bother fishing and the paddle boats (both of them) were being repaired. The peddle carts were a big hit with the kids though. Quiet time was at 10:30pm and everyone basically settled down by then, there were no "parters" near us nor any we heard or seen in the campground. We would come back here for an overnight stay. We camped at Timberline Campground (formerly Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park Camp-Resor in a Motorhome.

Whittington Woods Campground, Whittington, Illinois

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Beautiful location with tons of trees (like camping in a forest). Very easy to get to from I57. Would be a 10 except: Hookups were very poorly placed (water and electric on right side rear and sewer on driver side 1/2 way to driver door). Had to park with rear hanging in the road. Also we had very loud (drunken) neighbors that were up well past the 11 pm quiet time (2 am) and up again at 6 am for breakfast. We'll stay here again. We camped at Whittington Woods Campground in a Motorhome.

Elvis Presley Blvd RV Park, Memphis, Tennessee

Date of Stay: May, 2007 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

If you want to see Graceland, it don't get much easier than this. The park is about 100 yards away from Graceland, it's next to the parking lot of the Heartbreak hotel. Since the park is owned by the same folks that own the Heartbreak Hotel, you can use the hotel shuttle to get to Beale St. The park was clean and everything worked. The shade tree was small, but effective. Wished it had a fire pit, but no fires due to being inside Memphis City limits. If you stay here, we recommend calling Marlows Restaurant for dinner. The Restaurant has free shuttle service to this RV Park (A Pink Cadillac limo) and the BBQ ribs were absolutely wonderful. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Elvis Presley Blvd RV Park in a Motorhome.
