Sylvan Park Campground, Lanesboro, Minnesota

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Sylvan Park Campground is part of River View Campground. River view is directly across the street from Sylvan. At River View, there are no restrooms, and only 2 portapotty's in poor condition. The road into Sylvan is torn up to replace a sewage line into the elementary school which shares the same parking lot as Sylvan's campground and city park. Neither campground had a host, and we were in desperate need to assistance when on the first night camped there, a major tree limb fell on our 5th wheel. The old restroom at the Sylvan Park was poorly kept and unclean. No showers. We camped at Sylvan Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

If you stay at the River View side, only 5 sites have 30 amp. The rest have less, and are at the end where there is no turn around. The road is one way in and you have to turn around where campers will likely be parked. No grocery store so get your food on the way into town at some of the bigger cities.

White Oak Creek Park COE, Eufaula, Alabama

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Wonderful Corp. campground. Level paved sites, full electric. We did not use water or dump site, as we were just there for a short night. We camped at White Oak Creek Park COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park, Clarksdale, Mississippi

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The "camping" is all level, and the site we chose was back-in. All pull thru sites (approx.200) were full time permanent. I can live with folks working on cars, abandoned vehicles, RV's with fire damage/ windows out, city folk walking thru campsites throughout night (several openings to lot), trash everywhere, city pound which backs up to park w/overflow of dogs barking all hours. But in 30 yrs. of camping, this was first time ever I was awoken 2:00 a.m. by 3 cop cars to tell me neighbors reported my truck had been broken into. I love the music in town, but won't stay here again. Seriously unsafe. We camped at Coahoma County Expo Center RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

7 nits/wk=wonderful live blues music. Juke joints are free, but tip well. Beer & Southern food cheap & good. Kroger is catering to the area= small/limited. Ground Zero topnotch, over priced compared to the other opts. Go to Cat Head Delta-Blues Folk Art on main strip downtown. They have a schedule of every music joint in town, CD's and vinyl of all the great blues joints, knowledgeable of sites to eat. Town is Sheer southern Americana on the Mississippi Blues Trail.
