McMillen's Camp-A-While, Lincoln, Illinois

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I suspect that the ownership of this campground has changed. They no longer honor Good Sams, even though they have the sign posted in the window. The owner/host should let someone else run the campground. The campground is as others have described it, small and tight. The owner/host is not friendly. In fact belligerent is a word that comes to mind, when and if he is even there. I will not stay here again. We camped at McMillen's Camp-A-While in a Travel Trailer.

Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park, Mancos, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Overall we had a very good time. Great location, well maintained. One of the main reasons we picked this park was because a previous camper said the wi-if was excellent. For us it was not. I tried it at 3:00 AM in the morning and it was not good. It went to the Rec. room which is 50' from the repeater and it was not good. I was in site 24. Other than that the campground was fine. We camped at Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

If wi-if is important check different sites. They have 3 repeaters in different locations at this park.

Panther Creek State Park, Morristown, Tennessee

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I will confirm what others have said. When we were there the bathrooms were spacious and very clean. The laundry was only $.75 to wash and $.75 to dry. If you have not been there in awhile they have spent over $1 million in updates and it shows. We camped at Panther Creek State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Three Rivers Petroglyph Site, Tularosa, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is a little off the main road, but worth the drive. It is a first come first served campground with only two sites with water and electric. They are both pull through. Each site is about 200 feet long and could easily hold two RVs. The other sites are quite small. If you want peace and quiet this is the place to go and the stars at night are big and bright. Also it is important to note that for the two water and electric sites they do not honor the Senior Pass, or any other pass. Also there is no dump station. We camped at Three Rivers Petroglyph Site in a Travel Trailer.

Columbus RV Park & Campground, Columbus, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is right off I-10 and is easy off easy on for overnight camping. The campground is not large, but the laundramat was the biggest I have seen for a campground this size. Only stayed two nights as we were just passing through. We camped at Columbus RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Alamo City RV Park, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Normally I do not review parks; however, because of some recent reviews of this park I felt compelled to respond. We had a wonderful time here. The park is easy in, easy out with a number of spacious pull throughs. For an urban park it is quite nice and quiet at night. Also the pool was crystal clear and refreshing. There is a bus stop at the park and you can go anywhere in San Antonio for $2.75 a day. Half price if you have a senior pass. Parking is difficult and expensive in Town. The bus drops you off at the River Walk. The laundry is excellent and the internet is the best we have encountered on our trip. It would be a shame to pass up this RV park based on a few poor reviews. I would certainly stay here again. We camped at Alamo City RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum. It is over 100 years old and is very interesting!
